Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Slot should just sell off the domain and servers since he has very little if no activity with his own servers. I would buy them if he put a price and it was reasonable.

Someone must have paid practically the entire thing at once! According to this thread, it was about 22 hours to get to $500! Someone raise their hand so we can thank you.

I don't have any first hand knowledge, but I personally believe based on yesterday that this mystery individual would in some ways be the opposite of what would be expected.

In the event I am actually correct ... and who knows as I sure don't ... it emphasizes the fact the people with a heart-felt difference of opinion on complex issues with no simple answers ... do in fact share a common goal.

[My point if I am even remotely correct would be that life involves choices, these choices are never easy and yet they still have to be made. And if separated from the situations, you have to go on events. When events spread beyond involved parties, that is the threshold where net values are made.]

I think the Shmack players are more or less set in their ways. They play the same few maps all the time (usually) and they're set in their runes. When Shmack was much more popular I would try to get people to play on another Rune Quake server, and nobody ever would. "I like these runes, I don't know the runes there".

I think that's what's wrong with Quake today. Many people learn one thing once, and that's it. No new maps, no new runes, no new anything... the dead horse has been beaten so hard for so long that all there's left to beat is a puddle of blood on the ground.

                        RuneQuake... Plus?

Just out of curiosity, and on a slightly related note, is there any interest in playing RuneQuake Plus? Just to recap it's the same mod that used to be on the "Fear" server administered by PITA. For those that are new to it, the mod was a development by Mr Wifi to like to have everything "turned up" in the RuneQuake game. If you think of RuneQuake with many additional runes doing weird and wacky things you'll be getting close to the mark.

Hard core, in your face, frag at all costs quakers probably won't like it as it's not the type of mod you can take too seriously. However, I played it just for laughs for a hour or so last night with a good quake buddy of mine and it was a hell of a lot of fun. Maybe it just appeals to my slightly warped sense of humour but even my more more highly skilled opponent seemed to really enjoy it.

So I was just wondering if there would be any interest if someone put up a server?

                        Have fun

Hi Zop, nice to speak to you again.

I'm not familiar with that mod, is there a webby I can go and have a look at to glean a little more info?

                            Kind regards

I enjoyed RQA and Beatdown Alley and the variant of Rune's that had the FLEA rune, it made you SUPER TINY. I really miss all of the "oddball" versions of RuneQuake. If any version of RuneQuake should be hosted I would prefer the ones that are no longer currently being hosted.

Exactly how many versions was their of RuneQuake, and which one had the Flea-Rune. Was that an IEEE creation? If I only could recall these things.
