Sounds like a challenge. Any Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday we can have a nice friendly 1 on 1 competition on DM6 in RuneQuake on your Atlanta server. Maybe as fun promotional event (promote the event, record a demo, announce the results, yada).

I'm not an "elite" Quake player: Bruce, Turtlevan, Lenny would give me a king-sized ass kicking. Yeah, Bruce probably doesn't remember since I don't play as "Baker" typically, but believe me I remember Bruce (fucking owww!). I'm just saying ....

But you named the mod. I am admittedly rusty in 10 different ways. We can find out first hand how crap my play has become.

I think this would be a fun and entertaining idea. Let me know if you are up for this promotional event. Besides, it would be a fun excuse for me to re-enter the realm of actually playing Quake instead of deeply studying the inner workings of the engine.

Bruce, TV, Lenny, suck compared to runequaker's baker. You know for a FACT (CHECK) that runequaker's are the most elite player's of them all. Talent so strong they can kill you without even knowing it's about to happen.

On the other hand, I'm not a runequaker, im an old fashioned DM'er. I never played much of any other MOD. Once in awhile i'd mess with CTF or CA before i quit playin in 2002, other then that, i'm just out for the kill.

We should try and get something going on. would be nice to have some type of game promotion's happening in the world of quake, and get the game back into high gear, but it takes more then just people to promote the game, it takes those who enjoyed it for many years' to continue playing.

Rook, are you still working on qrack? i remember i had a FPS issue in qrack, would i still have that problem? are the latest versions the same ones from a year ago?

yea, i played mostly CAx because i just want to pop in for a little bit, and not commit to DM games...mainly b/c i just suck at DM now. when i DM, i basically just run around and hide while bruce did all the work...

raebocol, i use ProQuake 4.51, thats where some of the pq commands are from.
Also, mindz live's in Mississippi, not florida. BUT! I just so happen to live in florida. As for kimp, he is not around on this site obviously. Baker raped him and gave him internal problem's and kimp has had to resort to full time medical care. We are usually on between 6pm-12am usually is most active time. I'd do DM or CA against ya in a challenge. I'm just saying I've got as much Quake blood running through my veins as anybody here. I work on the engine because I know our infrastructure is important. I'm not "elite" though. But as rusty as I am, yeah if my Quakeness is being challenged, yeah that sounds like something I'd like my rusty self to challenge and I'd put it all on the line for it, sure.

Besides, it sounds like fun.

Yeah, I lost 15-0, 15-4, 15-8, 15-11. They were good games. I was thankful to enjoy some quality time against a quality opponent. I didn't put up a very interesting challenge, I hope to do better next time.

The important thing, any Quake is good Quake

I haven't played much lately,(last two or three weeks) because my workplace just went to 12 hour shifts. so i'm usually dead when i get off work at 7 am. then all i do is sleep on my days off.

man, you guys assume too much. where are the noob directions on how to install find, install, set up proquake?

i found the zip file for proquake 4.5.1, do i just need to unzip, put the files into my quake folder? which .exe file do i run? isn't there some config/autoconfig files that i need to create?

i found an old folder w/ maps & locs, i found old config files, but i think they were for qrack. where do i put that shit?
