the one great thing about quake 1 is there is so many mods to play and it makes things interesting. and there are SO many engines for it. from graphical enhancement to multiplayer finanza. that is a great thing about quake 1 and even the series.

IDK bout you guys but I was rather disappointed about having to battle a mega-bad-ass boss on E1m7 and then from their on out, eh w/e it didnt get any better in the Boss department.

You really dont know why ?
Because id-software wanted to sell their product, and the end of the shareware version had to be superduper, so that customers buy the full version.
So they had to implement something special in the shareware version.
I guess the rest is history and they didnt have enough time to put other end-episode-bosses into the game... or they never planed to, because the customer bought it already.
