    If I had to go back to dial-up, I'd just have the internet disconnected. I couldn't bare the idea of dial-up.

      My first 2months on quake in 1996 was played on a 14.4K modem and i was lucky to get 300pings on some servers late at night,in the day time above 600...

      Then i switched to my l33T 28.8K modem that i still have and is still working.
      I tweaked that baby to get pings of 120-200 on most european servers and that rocked like hell !!!

      Later i got my isdn line and there it was i was finaly an LPB and could play in the states with the same ping i use to have in europe

      Those where the days

      But my best time online must be with the 14.4Kmodem cause that was my first online gaming experience with more then 2 people,before that i played doom over that modem with my friend.

        hahaha LPB! i remember that acronym! thats from a loooonng time ago! never hear it anymore or HPB for that matter
