    And if I recall correctly, it didn't have a readme.txt. I believe the map was made by Biff_Debris (I think that's what it says in the map title when you play it -- not 100% certain at the moment).

    It was on underworldfan's recommended maps page under Industrial Base. Maybe the link /file is the wrong map or maybe it is supposed to be used with a mod (? Guessing?)

      Ah, that one. Nah, Biff is a better mapper I think
      That garrison.bsp is from http://www.quaddicted.com/filebase/mymap.zip
      It is the second map in this "pack" and you should have better weapons.

            I'm not sure what I'll do. I might do that -- OR -- I might make a slight change to the QuakeC to cause a nail gun to exist somewhere on the map, probably somewhat near the end of the map.

            I thought the Garrison map was a good map, and like you, I tried my best to finish the map with only the shotgun back in November or so (VERY HARD) only to fail at the end (since that's a ridiculously difficult task).

            There are nails all over the map, I figure a nail gun about 2/3 thru the map would fix the issue and with QuakeC, you don't have to actually change the map to add a nail gun -- so the author's map does not need to be altered.

              Holy snap.

              My status bar doesn't show up when I run it through any version (Can't see health, weapons, etc.). How do I solve this?

                          It might be used in the future for 1 one of several things:

                          1. Maybe a teleporter to a second Undergate style map.

                          2. Maybe a teleporter to a selector for the ID maps.

                          3. Maybe a teleporter to connect to an online coop server

                          A lot of possibilities. I don't know. It depends on what the future holds.

                            It technically is water, because it's a lava texture that's been renamed to make the engine think that it's a water texture (so that it doesn't hurt you if you walk through it)

                                Sometime I need to update this to fix a couple of the small flaws (RPGSMSE, add a couple of weapons to Garrison via QuakeC). It's easy enough to do.

                                It's not technically possible.

                                Well --- RocketGuy helped me with a sneaky way I can make that technically possible, but it would only work with JoeQuake and Qrack to my knowledge (and possibly FitzQuake).

                                I have been considering an "Undergate" with Gamedir switching capability (client specific, unfortunately) that would support this ... but I would have no way to cause the gamedir mods to return to the start map upon completion.

                                I have made something far more interesting (and not engine specific) ... a universal mod installer/launcher that turns all the b.s. into seamless newbie friendly bliss. I personally use it, heheh

                                But like a raccoon that is distracted by shiny objects, something else tends to catch my eye and I often jump from project to project.

                                Needless to say, my ultimate goal is nothing short of point and click "do anything" in Quake newbie friendliness and I do use the Undergate a hell of a lot
