If you know how to play and how to win a game you don't need much more.

For the lesser gods among us, a good strategy to start out with and to build upon can considerately improve your game. As strategist of your clan you have to take the flow of battle into account: many fights have been lost because a team was not flexible enough to adapt to new situations. A singular solution to all fights does not exist.

This can best be seen in the difference between the English and the German officer training between 1860 and 1933. In the German Corps emphasis was laid on the ability to sail on the

wind of war; needless to say it was very successful. After WWII several Allied commanders readily admitted that they were outfoxed by most German Officers. Direct appreciation of and reaction to enemy initiatives is therefore adament. A slow commander is a dead commander.
What do you do if you suddenly find a group of enemy operatives in the centre of your base? Do you stop the offensive? Try to circumvent them?

To adapt to thiswhay of thinking, real games are of course best, but also divide your team and play practice matches. Remember that these matches are not only played to improve ones technique, but also to improve the strategic thinking and set up.
