R00k, I tryed out your new release of Qrack and on my ATI 9800 all the "Y"'s are blue boxes? Thats the only major problem I've found in it for myself, I haven't really played Quake to much in the past few days. Is there a command to fix this 'glitch'?

it seems as long as i am the only one on a server the scoreboardping works just fine.. its when there are other ppl as well when the scoreboardpings get nuked.. also on the euroquake server (runequake mod) it seems to work slightly better but not quite as it should.. that is.. most of the time the pingtimes seem to be correct.. but not all the time..

Keypad support is an important one, it's good to see that's been added to Qrack.
Re: Peg's comment about ping being wrong --> Rook, DarkPlaces's ping parsing is even better than ProQuake's, might be worth a look to see how LordHavoc did it. Unlike ProQuake's ping parsing, which is usually right but sometimes wrong or sometimes doesn't display a ping for a player, I've never seen the ping displayed wrong in DarkPlaces.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. qrack breaks
Hi
when i play with the new client qrack, constantly breaks appears during the game play. I put the video settings at the minimum. Notice that the network image appears at the corner on screen.
With the other client such as glquake, i play absolute with no breaks (my ping prowls 70).

since u say that u see the network icon on screen, i'd say this problem is probably not (directly) related to qrack.. but then again.. if glquake runs without problems.. it might just be..
Is ur PC in a LAN (Local Area Network)? that is, are u sharing ur internet connection with other people? couse that might explain connection related problems.. if ur uploadbandwith is not all that wide so to speak then u might experience lag/hickups if other people on the LAN are uploading. however that should also hapen in glquake then..
also, did u try several different servers and does this problem occur on all of them? couse it might just be that ur ISP has made a poor connection to the server.. the GCHQ server runs on a rather low ticrate (0.025 i believe) which might just explain this problem but then again.. i dont see why glquake does not have it..
i know ur not on a wireless connection so make sure ur network cable is making proper contact
as far as qrack goes.. in my experience its best to set vid_vsync to 0 couse vsync enabled tends to make qrack run choppy.
u could try using the previous version of qrack (1.6) since that has been proven to be pretty stable allround.
maybe r00k can help u out here.

I try the qrack 1.6 and it works well :d . The network icon on the screen appears rarely.
i�m not sharing my internet connection, when i play on-line i have only quake client accessing the internet connection.
i have ADSL access to internet with 512 kbps upload and 8128 kbps Download.

RG: ya this is a beta version for public testing...
Metal: What settings did you change from version to version? Do the blooms lag you? Also by your screen shot use m_look 1 instead of +mlook :/

Forget what i said above... i try another test with qrack 1.6 and the breaks appear such as in qrack 1.7
i put the settings at minimum in both cases.

I know.. my English is very poorbut joao can�t translate my portuguese because he is my brother and his english is worst than my :d,
but i will try another attempt
its only in multiplayer mode with qrack, the breaks seems like playing with high ping.
My normal ping prowl 70.
