    I really like the full bright texture support! (i tested with the old SQL player-model and they don't render full bright, which is good -> no cheating!)

    Full bright texture support is something that glquake (and all its derivatives) should have had from the start..

    399x appears to be more stable then 399z, so good job on those "too-boring-to-mention-bugfixes"!

    The fog is nice to have but i feel that it needs more work (as i'm sure you would agree). Entities render full bright against the fogginess which is a bit of a cheat when fog is used online IMO.

    The crosshair stuff works fine but maybe the range of values for the crosshaircolor should be limited to 16 colors (same values as the pants/shirt color values) for ease of use.. (but i guess you plan to make some sort menu for it )

      Hmm, i just noticed a weird glitch that i never seen before..

      note the square on the floor was warping like lava/water..


      after reconnecting to the server it was fixed but i guess there must be a bug somewhere.. (or my hardware is getting fubar :/)

        winquake version doesnt work. it just goes to a black screen then crashes

          Works for me, but I'll look into this.

            Does regular winquake work on your computer?

            I ask because I've loaded up wqpro399.exe on 3 different machines and everything appears to work just fine.

              Baker, I dont use this version because it has some controversy with the USB Overdrive for my mouse. (the thing you linked me to in the past).

              You try playing a couple games using it with quake.
              Kind of hard to explain.

                Could you explain that in more detail? I use USB Overdrive on the Mac Mini. I've had to delete and re-add apps to USB Overdrive, but I've not had an issue with mouse mousement with it. Or is this related to mouse buttons?

                    What are your system specs? Winquake doesn't use video card so I don't care about that.

                      When I start up quake, my mouse goes back to being slow until I click somewhere in the finder (or off of quake) and come back, then the USB overdrive becomes active again. Proquake has always been like this for me, but its not a big deal, never bothered me.
                      But with this version my mouse goes back to being slow every time I use chat.

                      Plus the size of the text and console is overly obese when I start it up. =\

                      And I can't, for my life, just get it to go back to the way it has always been for me before.

                        Ok, this information could be helpful.

                        Are you using fullscreen or windowed? I changed it so the mouse is released upon entering the console or the menu, like in Windows, but this should only occur in windowed mode. I'll need to double check this.

                        I don't talk too much during online tests, so this information is very helpful.

                        Did you use vid_consize 0? Typing "vid_consize 0" in the console sets it to the Fruitz of Dojo look and it does save to config.

                              Thanks for info.

                              Does the glpro399.exe run fine? I'd like to at least eliminate the 64-bit processor as being part of the problem.
