You have some non-Quake pak file or pk3 in the id1 folder.

Anything not named pak0.pak or pak1.pak, move it somewhere else or delete it.

    Structure:

    c:\quake\darkplaces.exe
c:\quake\(all those DarkPlaces .dll files, they are optional)
    c:\quake\id1\pak0.pak (17 MB file size -- if it isn't 17 MB filesize -/+, it isn't the Quake pak0.pak)
    c:\quake\id1\pak1.pak (33 MB file size -- if it isn't 33 MB filesize-/+, it isn't the Quake pak1.pak)

The DarkPlaces.exe and the pak0.pak and pak1.pak are the only 3 files required to run DarkPlaces with full registered Quake. You could even make a new folder called c:\quake (put DarkPlaces there) and make a folder called c:\quake\id1 (put pak0.pak + pak1.pak) if you wanted.

The optional DarkPlaces .dll files are for extra functionality, but DarkPlaces will run without them.

Improvise the above folder structure to whatever your actual Quake folder is.

So while you guys all have to fight your anti-matter counterparts, me and my evil twin will be drinking a beer laughing at you guys ...

Qrack needs a bit more than the .exe

        quake\glqrack.exe
        quake\libcurl.dll
        quake\zlib1.dll
quake\qrack\(crapton of files like the Qrack pak0.pak with menu/sbar pics/particles)
        quake\qrack\(more filesz)
