My recollection of this issue is that PlasmaLaunch does a large multiply of velocity...

The real question is why PlasmaLaunch isn't working properly, what is interfering with the entity before it does so?

Something I spent awhile looking into, but found simply changing that one value fixed it.
However that's a work around instead of a fix really.
I am going to send you a PM with all the plasma code so I don't spam this topic.

          I think that's a significant overreaction.

However splitting the thread into two (discussing different things) would be best.

zero feedback = no one tried it = no one cares = why bother?
and yes, Dark Places shit in every one Tenebrae topic get's on my nerve the same was back when Tenebrae was in developement, zero support for author, 100% shit about how it is better idea to play other mods no wonder he stopped development...

            @gdiddy62
config is in atachement but is almost the same as with Mancubus pack which I use. Only fps limit is disabled and config's are changed somewhat

              Xor,
Thanks. I don't think anyone here intends disrespect. I'm always amazed and interested in what people do to make this game, or any game for that matter, better. Keep trucking and be respectful with comments and we'll do fine gang!

I did some benchmarking and SSSE3 version for Intel CPUs is actually up to >3x faster on some scenes that are most demanding like in e1m8. Eg. I did save in some place where framerate is low and saved is and MH's build consistently get around 10fps. SSE2 buid's gets around 20fps and with SSSE is like >30fps

and there is SSE4.2 version that came from weak batch (SSSE3 version with this settings is 33% slower than my firts SSSE3 build)
                  LINK (for Core i3/5/7 only)
It's up to 3.5x faster as it get's around 35fps

It's kind of tricky to get it right with diffrent compiler as most build crashes and there are many options that change things, sometimes unexpectedly by very much margin. And I think SSE4.2 version with settings from SSSE3 build I posted erlier would be blazingly fast

ps. I't post normal SSE3 build when I find setting on which it is actually faster than from M$ compiler

ps. there is strange thing with -cheapsize setting. It's quite strange, and need experimentation which range is best. SSSE3 and SSE4.1 build feel very good in 132000 range. With it I get 104fps on timedemo demo1

ps. extract to quake directory for console image: http://www.filefactory.com/file/cbacaee/n/tenebrae_7z

                    Xor,
I'm using an AMD 1100T with a Radeon 6870 and am noticing some improvement, but not on the scope of the intel cpus you're working with. Are there any suggestions to make this faster with the AMD cores? Yes, I do realize from some of your earlier statements intel is better, I'm just looking for all the improvement I can.

I actually now compile with Intel software... so I won't be able to use any AMD instructions above SSE3. But worry not: <link!>
it seem actually almost as fast as SSSE3 version I posted earlier and it should work ok on most Athlons AM2 and all AM2+/AM3 CPUs

You said it. No one bothered because you didnt bother providing the source.
If it was merely reconfiguring the compiler to use SSE/2 then post the source and the project file. You come off as a snot rag, no one wants to touch.

I decided not to release unfinished work as it doesn't have any sense...
It needs a lot of testing on a lot of configurations, new launcher and some fancy modern postprocessing filters and new weapon models. It can and will be done but it all takes time...

For now I see more and more speed improvement and can play it perfectly smooth but it's not enough as typical laptop cpu is not 4.6 but it ends on 2.3 actually...
