          maybe not perfect because im no graphics artist,
          but as close as i can do with my skills

          .

          i can only speak for my own textures though,
          and not in regard to blood vengence's or icaro's textures
          .
          are you curious about what all there is out there in terms of HD content for quake?

            none of us is a professional ... we are doing it just for community spirit and because we love the game.

            We try to stick closer as possible to the original design! some time is possible ... some time is not.

            For example some of the textures used in maps like sock's The Horde of Zendar (http://quakeone.com/forums/quake-mod...tml#post162058 ) have been so heavily modified by the author that it is almost impossible to recreate them in a faithful way. Some others are simply new textures made from scratch by the author. In these cases, I personally try to find/create the best HD texture that fits into the general design of the map. My personal touch

            Any help is welcome! ... any improvement/suggestion also!

            For ex. I've problem with _norm textures ... CrazyBumps produces _norm files which are not interpreted in the right way by DP, even after post-treatment with transparency, alpha channel ... and bla bla!

            • another small update, just did a couple more textures


              blarch4(the small arch-thingy on left)
              and bord05 & bord07, which are the same texture but rotated 90degrees


              and i also updated bbrik16a & bbrik16b (walls around shams)

              realized they are supposed the same bricks as on the ground (bflr01), and now they are

              .

              just 4 more border-textures & one border-like texture for a pillar and
              after that i only have the lights+buttons to go to complete the IKblue texture-set


              EDIT: correction, only 1 more border-tex to go!
              bord03, bord06 & bord08 were recolors of bord05/bord07

                  i finished remaking the IKblue texture-set!

                  DOWNLOAD IKBLUE HD TEXTURES

                  NOTE: mapjam2 is currently only partially HD-ified (1/3th),
                  since those maps use a looooot of additional textures made by sock

                  the IKblue texture-set has 47 textures, and sock made an additional 95 more
                  to extend on the IKblue texture-set, tripling the amount of textures

                        Installation

                        * Copy the pak2.pak file into the 'retrojam1' folder.
                        * Textures of the Quake Retexturing Project should be present in the 'id1' folder.
                        (download them: :: Quake Revitalization Project :: Downloads ::)

                        N.B: if you are using Quakespasm the QRP textures should be uncompressed or inside a .pak file.

                        • Yeah! Unfortunately I don't have crazybump anymore to create norm, and I have to wait for a friend that gives me a copy, but luckily you Icaro made the retrojam1 pack. I've uploaded RTlights for IKSPQ and Retrojam1. I have some unfinished texture packs for Necrobrood, Dawn of Eternity, Once Upon Atrocity and At The Gates of Midian. RTlights are done for those releases, but some textures are need to be made. Nothing too difficult, only a work of "copy and paste" but my very very limited skills don't allow me to complete them. Can someone make those textures? I hate to use works for others, but I'm not able. I can pos the .zip file here.

                          PS: When i get my hands on Crazybump again I have ready a small texture pack for Terra maps by CZG, along with their RTlights

                              Queste sono le textures per la mappa che si chiama dawn of eternity fatta da Necros, � gigantesca e molto difficile, contiene pi� di 400 luci (che ho gia fatto) � un peccato che sia un p� "snobbata". Dentro l'archivio c'� una texture in formato HD in formato png presa da Doom: il teschio del caprone andrebbe incollato sopra la texture che si chiama ne_hell.jpg

                              • Almost ready Retrojam4 texture pack (it's 100% done, since uses already done by Talisa and Icaro, and some easy to do made by me). Only norms need to be done....then uploaded (RTlights are already done, they were done the day after RJ4 was released). Now only Retrojam2 remains (the RJ3 uses the same texture pack that I've done for I Pity Thee Not so it's done)
