honestly never heard of that map, much less played it....
but it looks great when draped in my HD textures

also... no offense, but fuck easy-to-use compilations....
they only make it more difficult if you wanna add something or swap something out,
and you often will run into weird conflicts, broken items and other such weird shit if you do
which results in getting confused people posting here at quakeone screaming for help
just look at the huge amount of people who've come posting here at quakeone in the past (and still do from time to time)
because they wanted to change/add/replace something about those 'quake HD' or 'quake epsilon' compilations
and then getting confused as hell because those compilations are made to work only as-is
and they get weird conflicts and broken items because they dont know what you're doing

on the surface, compilations might seem easier. just drop in a single pk3 and boom, done!
but in reality, they only complicate things if you wanna add/replace/remove something to the setup.
the quake community is very divided in how they like their quake to look, and there are many models & such available,
people are eventually going to wanna change something when they find out about all the stuff available here at quakeone
my stuff is all packed into seperate pk3s to make it easy to replace or add something.
just remove the old pk3 of said item and add the new one, done.
no conflicts, no missing stuff, no items suddenly not working as expected or any of that stuff
Never heard of Rapture or the map in the screenshot? If Rapture, well it's a beautiful custom episode and its story is a prequel to Unforgiven (and is linked to both Soul of Evil too) if you are refering only to the map, it's the first one. Even If I've made some ready to go archives myself (due to requests) , I'm against compilations too. I think that can be useful for people who want to try Darkplaces for the first time, but when you start to know how to place stuff, in my opinion you should build your own folder, because people have different tastes in skins, models, effects, skies etc....
exactly, that was my point about why i am against compilation-packs and would prefer you to post links to the threads.
i can get that people who are new to quake or new to darkplaces would like
an easy-to-use compilation where they just drop in a single pk3 and instantly get playing,
but in the long run compilations just cause more confusion & problems then is worth it once you start editing your setup

anywho.... i made the +lavapour anim-set
its kinda meh looking, but i am no professional animator im afraid.
i just kinda cheated and just moved the lava-texture down a bit with every frame to give the sorta illusion that the lava is flowing downwards.
ill throw the textures your way in a PM so you can include them in rapture HD-pack

despite being a big fan of Tronyn's work, ive never heard of that particular map-set
Uh in the small archivecontaining Unforgiven textures that I've uploaded, I've forgot to put the pjrock from Q3 Arena High Resolution textures but I've saw that you've included it, great (noticed now)
im starting to feel more confident in my texturing-skills,
and can see my textures are getting better compared to when i started long ago

also, aye i already found out already that pj4rock21 is from Q3A.
the bsebrd09 is another texture thats also from Q3A.
before i re-make any texture i first check all the HD texture-packs i have to see
if the texture is s maybe from any of the games i have HD texture-packs from,
and if it is i grab it from the existing HD pack for that game & include the texture.
no point in re-making textures that have already been re-made, right?
well... unless the currently available texture doesnt look good of course
A bit different but very similar, perhaps you can find this texture useful to represent the unforgiven texture vfence2, this was take from Risen3d website, so I suppose the author is Sitter/Abbs

EDIT: 6 more textures done for unforgiven
bshipinside2 (yeah its actually meant for the inside of a ship instead of a roof XD )
only an old QC-source of drake from 2011 was available though,
so unforgiven is the newest map with which its compatible.
it will NOT work with newer drake-maps like something wicked & nyarlathotep,
you will get missing monsters and such if you try using the progs.dat with those maps
