nice job there they all look great and keep up the good work, if i could marry a quake monster it would be the fiend right now it looks awesome can't wait till you finish the rest, i'l be watching.
This thread has 50 pages and counting so it's a bit difficult to track all the details, but I read all the posts so don't worry, heads are part of the package.
I also acknowledge that the download for a shub skin is not there, I don't know why, but we'll correct the error asap.
The blood in the Knight is supposed to come from the victims in front of him and is not dripping already, while I liked the shiny effect of the armour.
Obviously skins are better seen in Darkplaces because diffuse, gloss, luma and norm should work in concert to render the final image, though we try to assure the compatibility with Qrack and other engines.
As Alfader said, we try to lower the amount of work from our part, so ultra versions are meant to be released in a single file.
I like to make alternate versions to explore new tricks and styles, though we're always slaves of time
-I would love for you guys to make an alternate version of the Shambler that has fur instead of skin like the current version (which would be more true to the original skin). I also wish it was more white, rather than brownish like the current versions. I think the current Shamblers remind me too much of the Barons in Doom3.
I second that suggestion actually, it really looks nice now, but from the Reforged Bestiary site: In Quake 1, a Shambler is a Yeti-like large beast with blood-stained white fur.
So yeah, it would make sense if it still has fur for originalities sakes
Me personally don't like it hairy...uhum...so that counts for the shambler too. Just my taste. If a Hi-def fur gets added to the skin, and that thing attacks me, I am afraid Reinhold Messner comes around the next corner and that scares me even more. Sure an alternative version with fur might be welcome for some people...but I prefer "skin" like on this remodelled shambler.
I personally love the "nonfur" shambler. But hell...if you come up with a superb fur-version, I might change my mind Keep up the good work and thank you so much for the recent release

The furry shambler was reported to be seen in this thread when the project started, but sadly disappeared to never make return, maybe lost in the infernal circle of the shitty skins...
Should we start to talk about resurrection?

Regarding the Shambler - really, I personally would more like to see it furry. Currently, as has been said, it looks way too much similar to the Doom 3's Hell Knight.
Personally I'm loving the elephantine shambler hide (particularly the less bloody one), but I do think that having it's viscera hanging out kinda suggests that it belongs in the "undead" family of critters when it actually quite clearly belongs in the "sorcerous abominations" family.
