Well, what's weird is that the ent files for the original ID1 episodes work just fine, and they use the same "RAIN_THINK" stuff...

hmm... did you also install the versions of the small mod compilation for the mission packs and put them in the folders from the MPs?
cuz you need to have installed the special smc addons for the mission packs too, otherwise it wont work
or maybe you got a mod or add-on in your hipnotic folder which uses a progs.dat?

and you're welcome for making them, its fun to do and it feels good to contribute to the community
pondering wether to first add flying ash for HIP2M3 or making episode 3 first...
think ill try adding flying ash to hip2m3 first, so we got episode2 complete too.
although that might take a bit, since ill have to figure out how to add flying ash there at the strange-shaped lave-part at start without using tons of blocks cuz that way the flying ash effect would get way to intense. but im sure that once i figure it out itll be quickly done

I know it can be quite frustating sometimes, when the geometry is not "squary".
Regarding your issue with lava in your mentioned map.
I didnt look into that map, so I dont know its geometry.
Just an idea, that popped into my mind:
If you start the snow from below the lava surface and macke the cube bigger than the lava itself, so that it covers also floor areas without lava.
Will then the mesh of the floor without lava stop the snow particles from going through ?
I dont know. Just test it.
Maybe it helps and you can cover a bigger complicated area with one big cube.
I have doubts that it works, but try it and we will see.

hmm... do you have seven's small mod compilation installed, and sevens smc for MP1 as well?
cuz those are needed for the rain to work, if you dont have those the rain wont work

ah, ive found it... made a typo in the coordinates for where the ash should be. accidentially put 612 instead of -612 *facepalms*
