Yeah, Imma actually apologize for that one. It was really mean. I'm sorry, bro. My initial response was that I don't fight with fists or drink. I edited to what I do fight with (malicious intelligence). It was wrong and I didn't mean it so much as I just wanted to say something very mean.
I apologize.
On a side note: I am simply disappointed in the abrupt end of your project, not in you as an individual per se. Everyone here has packaged their talents into the "Quake box". You seem to be one of the only people here other than myself that wants to express talent that is related to Quake but is not a descendent.
To me, Quake is not a game, it is this community right here and EVERYTHING that is brought to the table here becomes a part of the whole, making the whole larger.
Here is an example:
I am about to release SimpleFLV. In itself, SimpleFLV is not Quake related at all, but it just takes one person here to take that software and make a QuakeTube or for Solecord to take my core and seamlessly dump it into a content area of a page - thereby creating a minimalist youTube feature on QuakeOne. We can't beat youTube, but we can emulate it and allow better control over how that content is presented (custom controls and artwork that expand the Q1 brand).
I'm not saying any of this will happen (aside from me definitely releasing simpleFLV). I am saying that my non-Quake project could easily be used to amplify a Quakers experience in the realm of QuakeOne. Your project seemed to also have the potential for these qualities....and now it is "done".Last edited by MadGypsy; 01-23-2013, 01:09 PM.

This is my personal project and I'm still working on it. As my QuakeC & Java get better (My track record involves breaking everything I've made and then figuring it out) I realize how big it is. It's getting better now, taking smaller bites. I'm no longer recruiting, it's a one man show - for now.

Hi QR
All right I'm busy making my Qrack Video Season #5 but I just wanted to let you know how sucessful your project has been.
#1
You had lot of attention from the top Q1 people (many) so this is never easy.
#2
You made a nice plan (you know what you want that's the important).
#3
You evaluated (re) your project and you trying to make the point.
I got lot of experiences as "Project Manager" (and everything you need to be one) and I only blame you for not having a realistic schedule.
For example, you should plan couple of months to have a team on it... you took may be 2 weeks (may be a little more).
In Q1 most people work alone and present their (great) stuff here and there and will receive comments to help them to make it better... I rarely seen a Q1 team and this is the very big problem here... alone you can do so little compare to team work.
Online work is not easy it requieres lot of different tools (assets/skills?!?? I guess) and still Today, it is a "learn-in-progress".
I you wanna be an innovator (or live with your time), come back with a realistic calendar and get a good planning tool (like to quickly following things and efficienly).
GL with your current project and I'm waiting for news from you to help further.

You are one of a long line of clowns who have come here with nothing and are surprised to find nobody wants to do all the work for you.
At the very least you could have made an original avatar fer chrissake.
Oh and BTW Java Sucks.Do some actual work and have something to show before you attempt to restart this project and maybe just maybe someone may get onboard but I seriously doubt it.WARNING
May be too intense for some viewers.

Mindz & Mark, thank you both for your emails/messages. Your encouragement is appreciated.
I'm not going to be on QuakeOne much, but I'll be around a bit more.
Hi Bluntz.
Your opinion of me & my ideas makes me smile.
It's good to be back.
To be honest I wouldn't be able to complete, or even keep working on the project without comments like this. The project has taken a very different turn - no one will see it coming. It's still a couple years from a beta release.
Get an original Avatar? No need, there's no beating a classic son.
Java sucks?
That's nice. Now go program me a sandwich.
When you're done with that, frag K1mp a couple times for me. He likes it.

I can't believe you actually programmed him a sandwich. Not because I can't believe a sandwich would be programmed, but because I'm surprised that I didn't do it first.
I programmed a fart once. I even read how real farts are made and turned it into a class.
