My passion for engine enhancement led to a boom of Quake, multiplatform Quake development resulting in engines such as Quakespasm, motivated LordHavoc to implement countless features in DarkPlaces, inspired single player engine development mayhem, helped inspire 24 complex and ambitious Quake projects from CAx to RQuake to Qrack to the Undergate to Enhanced GLQuake refinements to multiplatform engines supporting single player even in Quakeworld engines and I encouraged massive RuneQuake and Rocket Arena enhancements, QuakeC inspiration and attracted numerous high profile engine developers even in OTHER GAMES (Quake 3, Duke Nukem, Quake 2) but in Quake people like MH, Spike, Frag Machine and foreign coders to care passionate about the Quake cause plus things like Quake Reforged, Quake Remake, etc. etc.

On the other hand, you started a thread asking how to connect to a server.

You can't even lift my jockstrap. And you are supposedly making this claim in my house.

I'm not judging you. But your posts are often stupid --- with some sort of ambition of attacking me to aggrandize yourself by associating with me.

Which is fine. But I've had actual Quake patriots like Wolv or the author of OpenArena or major engine authors or major QuakeC developers troll me.

You don't even hold a candle to any of those Quake patriots --- not even people like "Mom" (aka Mark), so I guess you can keep arguing or whatever you are trying to do.

But you don't know how to connect to a Quake server .... so .... I'll leave it at that.

See, I never really cared for Quake when it was released. Yeah, multi-player was great, but single player... meh, to boring.

The only reason I play today is so I can see what other people, such as yourself, come up with. All the engines, textures, models, effects, QC mods etc etc, I love those.

When you put it into perspective like that... it's just WOW!

I know the post you are referring to (regarding connecting to a Quake server). I don't consider forgetting the command for something that is useless to me and then remembering it 2 minutes later - "not knowing"

Some Quake nerd told me I'm not Quake enough...I consider that a compliment. He knows what he did. If he can't understand why I did it back (I refuse to believe that) then it's pretty sad. All this shit is damage control by attempting to point the finger in the other direction. I'm just not going to let that happen.

I did not start anything with Baker. He started it with me and expected me to just accept his apology. Funny thing about apologies, just because you are sorry it doesn't mean I have to forget.

When I first started in this community I had lots of respect for Baker. Immediate respect. HE started damaging that respect. Even when he started I was very apprehensive to be disrespectful back, but then it happened again and a little hair of that apprehension disappeared. There eventually came a point where gloves came off.

Let there be no doubt, I never wanted to have to consider gloves in the first place. Baker could see that I am capable of being an intellectual challenge to him and he has invited me to that challenge on more than one occasion. Do you really think this guy wants to argue with stupid people? He keeps feeding the "challenge" because it is a never ending battle of "touche'".

I'd be willing to bet good money that he harbors no more resentment than I do, which is none. This is a game. I do not even have any feelings toward what he did to compel me to start this thread. I just never forgot it.

We can play the "sounds-good-thesis-game" forever and no matter who says what, the other will always have a comparable argument. I'm the guy that made Q1 mapping for radiant drop and go. 16+ years and not one person in all quakedom creates a package to make Q1 mapping in Radiant sane, not even the Radiant authors/maintainers. I don't create engines because there is no way for me to do better than the best ones that already exist. I fill vacant areas and create things where there only currently exists shit. My work attempts to be necessary (QC dev environment, Drop and go Q1 gamepack for radiant). And where it lacks necessity it attempts to be revolutionary (Radiant Brush - map with a controller). I don't need Bakers approval for this to be factual.

I'm currently using my supposedly unrelated parsing delimiters work to bring radiant .map files into my own IDE. In a sense you could gather that I will just build my own Radiant. I already have this partially working. I'm having problems getting textures to appear but i have all the brushes lined out in a display container straight out of the .map. I have plenty of candles, I assure you.
