Speaking about land owners , farmers , of any past present or future , will have an understanding of a crop and its uses as a product they plan on sowing,growing and harvesting and eventually selling to make a living, to say otherwise claims they are idiot's and decided to "go on a whim" with some unknown plant.

If the plant is well known enough to be utilized in any "old world farming", be it rope , cloth , or paper.... you think those who grew (shitloads of it,mind you)marijuana never done something as primitive as stick it in a pipe and smoke it,or use it as a snuff,or make tea's out of it, or any method of medicating for medicinal OR recreational use?

some ppL just werent meant for smokin the Jane'.. i think most need to have some sort of psychiactric evaluation before they are issued a license for smoking it. Im a fine example of a person who has never been hurt smoking it, never hurt anyone i loved while smoking it, never broke or thrown any of my belonings as a result of smoking.. unlike alcholics, who can destroy and even murder their whole families because as a result of a long night of drinking, coming home late, the wife starts screamn in your ear, and a man can simply lose his composure and attack every living thing in the immediate vicinity. My vocabulary is up to par, i dont look old and withered, i've smoked the sweet Jane pretty much daily now for about 14 years (half of my life) never lost friends due 2 buddah. It makes for a great and useless arguement between the the fundamentalist conservative, and the open minded person, which will never cease. Just an arguementative cycle of BS like, "it's bad for u", "no it's not", "yes it is", "no it's not". Just like some here may tell me that alcohol does not destroy everything, I can prove that weed destroys FAR less. My short term memory has never been affected, neither has my sperm count (i have a child), motivation unaffected. I have more drive than the average joe. Ppl cant even tell im high unless i tell them. I've never let a friend down because i "was high one day". It just takes a certain type of person to not lose sight of their goals and aspirations.

With all that having been said, there are VERY VERY many people that the drug has taken for a spin. Such as, ppL who did not find it to be satisfying anymore and get bored of the high and look for a better, more intense high. These are the lost causes, they graduated to stronger more thought inducing chemical bodies. I dont do drugs, i only smoke weed. But ya' like i said, maybe an evaluation is in order 4 those who wish to consume the herbivorial wonder, i can handle it's effects, but some cant, and i can spot em from a mile away.

This is a tireless arguement, that no side can win. It is simply a tool i use for relaxation, oh, and it makes listening to music a muthafucka !

There are merits to both sides of the "weed" argument.

I think the best solution would be to have it be illegal but also to rarely bother to prosecute it and only make a limited effort to actively enforce it.

Kind of like there is now!

I see no benefit to encouraging it and no benefit to over zealously bother trying to lock people up for it. Kind of the way underage drinking is dealt with.

End result: try it once or twice, chances are you won't get caught. Make it a life-style and chances are you will.

14 years deep and i never got caught, but then again, Canada's laws against it are so lenient. I've actually been caught countless times smokin it in the car or at a park, and all the cops really do is give u a little bs lecture, take your weed and name (or sometimes not even your name), stomp out your joint and be on their merry way.
The only bad thing is, you dont know who u are buying from (but I do) and u may be buying from guys who have 3-5 grow-ops, and guard their shit with their life and are ready to die before going to jail or some shit.
So promting the sale of gangster shit is not so advocatable, u should head out to those old guys, who grow better shit btw. Dont buy from GaNgsTaZ anymore, thats just wrong =)

just to give a recent example, when i was traveling i met this great girl (lesbian). when i first met her, she was traveling and had been weed-free for over a week, and i found her to be really outgoing and impressive. she happened to live in my city, so i went to see her a few weeks ago. when i met her back at home, she was living with her stoner friends and smoking every day like she does, and in comparison to the person i met while traveling, she now seemed like a zombie--just drained of energy, spacy, inconsiderate, so that i don't have much interest in being friends w/ her anymore.

i enjoy a toke myself once in a while, but still think it should be illegal though not aggressively prosecuted. i guess that's hypocrisy somewhat, but oh well. one thing i never understood growing up, was how my mother ALWAYS knew when i had been smokin pot. i began to imagine she had spies everywhere, but later i realized it's because it affects your behavior. even though you may not see that while you're in it, everyone else (especially those who have known you a long time) sees it clear as day
