Well, you don't have very much to work with here. You take your D batteries and your soldering iron and create a crude conduit, using solder to connect the batteries to your Fireman's Axe.

You bet he'd have had all this crap solved by now. Yep...that Doomguy was a true hero. That, and he had a BFG...you wish you had a BFG...

Actually, your last fight (with Yogg-Shargoth) demonstrated this. The problem is mastering Kaio-ken. It's not going to happen overnight. It could take several dozen [successful] attempts before it doesn't hurt anymore.

Well, Kaio-ken is a martial art, not magic. That, and you don't have the Earth Rune, yet.

You already know that. As it happens, though, you can only win battles with one, or a combination, of four things: martial arts, weapons, magic, and/or diplomacy. It's gonna be tough...really tough. It could very well kill you! You can only do your best with what you have, though. You're stuck here in the Elder Dimension, armed only with what you brought with you and what you can take from your fallen enemies. You can only rely on what you can do.

No more screwing around. You've been stuck in this damnedable dimension long enough, and you're starting to get hungry. Your armor is good, your ammo is...well, it'll do. Time to end this. You could very well be rushing headlong to your death...after all, this Vol-Balgruth was supposedly the strongest of the Elder Gods. It took all of the other gods and their Death Knight Commanders to take him down. Oh well. Can't accept defeat until you try. You follow the last of the psychic traffic to the huge indoor pool where you felled Shub-Niggurath. On the other side of the room is a large stone wall. You can feel him...you slip into the water and approach the stone wall. As you place a hand on the ledge, the stone wall grinds open before you swiftly. You peer above the ledge. You see it...you cannot bring yourself to call it a "him". It does not appear to be a living creature...rather a mass of flesh and raw energy of all manners. Shadow, fire, nether, hell, earth, arcane, ice, wind, electricity...a swirling maelstrom of chaos swathes before you. You can't seem to grasp a clear concept of this thing's true form. It just exists before you in all of it's magnificence and terror. Laying your eyes upon this thing causes your very mind to doubt your own existance. The sheer power of it makes you feel like you're being crushed.

You are affected by Vol-Balgruth's "Chaotic Aura". Your health is slowly decreasing.

You pull yourself together and climb out of the water. You feel the thing crawling inside of your mind. It's not painful...rather it's...confusing. You're here, but your mind is somewhere else. You feel it talking to you, but you can't comprehend it's words. As you stand before the thing, trying to look at it, but feeling your vision staring at something else, you claw at the last vestiges of your sanity and order your companions to attack...but nothing happens. You glance over at your companions...they all seem to be glamoured...even the mindless SFX is charmed by the will of this all-powerful god before you.

Your companions are affected by Vol-Balgruth's "Glamour Aura". They are unable to act.

You attempt to pull out your Lightspark Rifle, but when you go to grab it, you find yourself grabbing your own leg instead. You pull your own leg out from under you, causing yourself to land harshly.

You lose 3 health

You try to grab your Plasma Pistol, but you find yourself grabbing at air. You can't seem to control your own movements. The impulses from your brain are all garbled and incoherent.

You are suffering from Vol-Balgruth's "Insanity Aura". You are unable to control your own actions.

There is no possible way to battle this thing...and with Vol-Balgruth's very presence slowly destroying your body molecule by molecule, the clock is ticking! How in the world can this battle even be fought, let alone won??? Everything is stacked against you...

You opt not to try again. God forbit you accidentally grab something more dangerous...like your axe...

The Elder God looms before you, seemingly harmless...but just being in the thing's presence is deadly. You feel your muscles start to burn.

Your health is now at 85 and dropping slowly.

You sense another powerful presence close...but can't see anything yet. You return your incoherent focus to Vol-Balgruth. The thing continues to speak to your mind in ways you can't comprehend in a language you can't even begin to understand. You try to talk back to it, but your words come out slurred and confounded. You're not even sure if this is really happening...even the pain feels surreal. The other powerful presence feels closer...you still can't see anything...maybe its the insanity or something...
