I'd say we would be ded if we tried to attack that thing. It's pretty much invulnerable, right?

Attack the thing, you say? Great! Let's do that! You order your formations, DKC and Darkscythe in front on melee, you, SFX, and Protos on range. The thing hasn't noticed you yet, so you might have the advantage by catching it off guard, but...only one way to find out, right? Alright...let's do dis....1, 2, 3! You round the corner, guns blazing. Your Lightspark, Protos's Plasmabolt, and SFX's blaster cannons screaming at the gargantuan creature while DKC and Darkscythe attempt to attack up front. Protos wasn't kidding, though...this thing's barrier is really tough. Even focus fire is just bouncing off of it. What's worse, the thing is now duely aware of your presence. The darkest, blackest, most devoid of light Shadow Plasma collects on The Serpent's many hands. You find yourself transfixed by the plasma...it's so.....dark...you fail to notice the bolt of uncompromising blackness blazing toward you. Protos tackles you, saving you from the bolt by mere inches. Hm...maybe attacking this thing was a bad idea.
Hang on, Phoenix. I think I have an idea. Oh...boy, well, better late than never, you suppose. Let me use the knight's sword with all of your collected strength. I can combine it with my own swordstaff. The attack might be strong enough to give us an opening. You're definitely suspicious of this Protos, but at this point, trusting him seems like a better idea than getting wtfpwned by this Serpent. You order a brief retreat around the corner to the entrance. The Serpent is way too big to fit, but that won't hold him back for long. Eventually he'll simply rip the map apart to get at you...so you better make this quick. You order Velen to give Protos his sword. He eyeballs you disapprovingly, but you restate that it is an order.
"As...you command...my lord." He hesitantly hands his prized sword to Protos. You then order your companions to surrender their strengths to the blade. You then yield your own strength to Protos. Alright. This...might work. Bear with me. He takes out his swordstaff and duel-wields the weapons. He charged around the corner. You hobble around the corner to witness the fight. You see Protos take a flying leap at The Serpent, swords bared. He plunges the weapons into The Serpent, shattering its barrier. The Serpent then swats him aside. When he hits the ground, he drops the swords. The Serpent looms above him, glaring at him. He holds a hand up, trying to defend himself, but the great monster does not hesitate. A swift bolt of Shadow Plasma rips through Protos, obliterating him instantly. Once the negative corona fades, all that remains is a black streak on the ground.

Protos has been killed.

Fuck. Well....now what? The thing's barrier is down, but it's still tougher than anything you've faced yet. What's worse, you're now down a man. The fuck are you gonna do now?
