Well at least you have come to some peace of mind about it.I keep hoping to find something better, only to rip my fucking hair out with one disappointment after another and the pile of overhyped garbage titles rising in the closet.Originally posted by monoz View PostNo need to overclock. I only play quake. what do i care
My only consolation is the work done right here in these halls on Q1.
The disappointment never seems to stop and I never buy a prerelease anymore after being burned time after time.my scars have scars.
This last year was one of the worst ever but at least I only bought into DNF

You want to see if Quake can kick your computers ass ?Originally posted by A VERY unoriginal name View PostI'm wondering if there's a Quake engine where gibs, besides heads, don't disappear, as I have over 8 gigs of RAM available, and I want to see if Quake can kick its' ass
Nothing as simple as this:
Use the DarkPlaces engine and download all the replacement stuff, floating around in this very forum.
You will see your computer bagging for mercy. This is a promise.
By the way, gibs stay forever when you want them to.
Just change 1 line in QC and they will.
Or use the "small mod compilation" to do this for you.
