Reminder to everyone about CTF Sunday, tonight at 10 pm EST, 7 PST. We usually play on ctf.clanhdz.com, or you can use the server browser if no one's on there. I will also be dropping by #quakeone on IRC periodically to search for interested people. We've been having players of all skill levels show up--the old elites from DV8, rum, hdz, as well as literal first-timers, and all ranges in between. it's a blast!

We had a blast last night at ctf.clanhdz.com. About 15 people showed up at various times, and one game we even had a 5v5!! thanks for the publicity sole. here are some screenies:

I think we had about eight or nine people on yesterday evening at 10pm est on ctf.clanhdz.com. Was fun! I like ctf more than any other quake1 mod. Hope to see you guys there!

We had some great CTF games last night on ctf.clanhdz.com (i think)! There were about eight of us for about 6 games and then four of us for another couple games until about 4am est. No runes and the server is in CR mode.

Opps, I was there on wed, and it was great fun. Hell even Ramp' showed...
and Woods came out "of the woodwork.." but once we all shook the dust off, we had great fun. Anyone is welcome, i think i heard littleme say "omfg i've never seen anyone hook like that!" But, in all we are rusty ctf'ers and newbs should get a game in with us. Alot could be learned from the older players. Attitudes are left at the door, we play for the game not the bitchfest...:d

like i says people, we just need one night to gather.... that is the first step to rebuilding the ctf community, because then everyone will know who likes ctf, which makes recruiting for games at any time easier. Sundays have always seemed like the busiest time on the servers, so i've been getting people together every sunday and 10 pm EST, generally on ctf.clanhdz.com. we've had games every week the past few months. man i love ctf

Hey we had another pickup game Thursday evening from about 10pm to 12:30am! Nice 2 vs 2 games! We mostly played Elder Quad Shrine and CTF1 - perhaps my two fav maps. I'm starting to get some of the ctf rust off!

I refresh the quakeone.com home page and look for anyone on the ctf servers. Good way to find pickups. I don't think there is any e-mail notification system set up that might notify us if there are >4 people on a server but that might be a nice thing to have working. Could e-mail mobile phones, etc..

I know one guy who would like to play. He and I used to play on Erols' ctf server back in 1999-2000. I'll try to find him.
