Complaining by the players wont factor in at all. In fact i would just play and not comment. Badaim and I will be watching and if we both agree through MM2 we will give a warning, 2nd time DQ.

We will be actively watching for it. On the first page i listed examples of areas considered camp areas. So if your not attempting to leave those areas after a period of time has passed, then that is camping. It is obvious if someone is constantly running and shooting over his shoulder. If it is consistant and not sporadic, we will say something. Obviously everyone gets caught in bad spots and you make a quick retreat to find better ground, this is OKAY. Just not every time you run into someone.

some people just can't handle the pressure of imminent defeat. they are dropping like flies right as "put up or shut up" moment approaches. so lets have a moment of silence for those with weak testicular fortitude and absolutely zero gumption. especially pat. lol jk, i know those guys would make it if they could. (shocked mindz hasn't quit yet. )

i like the no camping/excessive hiding idea. will be tough to enforce but still a good idea. is this going to be one of those rules where it's not really brought up unless the opponent complains a lot? or is there going to be a proactive approach to keep it from happening at all? i only ask because i have a lot of experience with most of these guys and they all run until the cows come home when they play me. especially vis and ramp. teehee

but seriously, some guys are habitual runners (not pointing fingers).

Wolv has been sent the prize money and has received it. Wolv has decided make his contributer BTA Monster. BTA Monster hosts the NEWDM quake server and thus makes him a contributor.

BTA Monster - Thank you very much for giving your time and resources to help the Quake 1 Community. Although I have never played at that server, I appreciate the fact that it is there. I will have to come check it out soon. I PM'd you asking for your PAYPAL so i can donate the money.



I have upped the contributer donation from $5 to $10. I feel like the contributors deserve more.


I want to thank all of you for dedicating your time for this tournament. Everyone was amazing, the tournament went very smooth i thought.

Congrats wolv you played a great match. Pretty sure I'm about to Brett Favre this. Thanks onc again for chipping your own money for a fun cause and hobby for many people, it was a noble thing to do. You guys ran it well and efficiently. Hopefully this kind of stuff grows and draws bigger crowds in the future.

I really think there has to be some brackets and seedings in the next one..

If you look at my matchups leading up to playing wolv:

1. Bluntz
2. Monoxide with a baby on his lap
3. Vis with his friend next to him looking to leave asap

(Not that this has anything to do with the rest of my post, but felt like throwing it out there because I felt bad facing these two guys).

in comparison, wolv faced strong competition throughout:

1. Doug
2. Jbone
3. Muller

I really think that kind of set the tone for him as he played a gradually better player each time down but they were all highly competitive.. Mono basically quit trying half way through the match and Bluntz sat outside for 4 straight rounds spamming rockets.. I really think I was not well prepared to face Wolv at that point but that's my opinion.

This is not to discredit anything that happened or make excuses, Wolv could have beaten me otherwise as well.. simply to say that if there were top tiers/brackets and names weren't drawn out of the hat.. you would be able to prepare better leading up to the finals.

Something to think about for the next one anyhow if it happens.
