  • Thanks ORL.
The cool thing of also using a lot of the same sort of colours is that you sometimes really have to look twice to discover a new thingie somewhere in there. Yeh, cool piece of work. I'm happy with it myself.

    • the plant stem that the baby is holding in his hand looks like an umbilical cord. very philosophical

      • Spooker, I not know what umbilical cord is. Do you mean that cord what is attached to babies navels where they get food through when they are still in the mothers belly?
        If so, interesting thoughts.
One that never crossed my mind I have to say.
But maybe also because I don't see it as a baby so much.
        Interesting thought though spooker.

I love it when everyone can "read" different stories in my works.
It always amazes me with what people can come up with. I really really like all the different stories, thoughts, ideas or feelings people get with some works. And I love hearing them.

          • Heheh yeh, after I posted here, I did a search on google for that umbliblibleep-cord just to be sure. Maaaaaannnnnn what a nasty pictures you see then. Nothing anyone would like to see really, but it confirmed my thought for it being a navelstreng. Bless.

              • Started colouring up the old b/w shambler.
It's too sweet now. Will have to darken it.

Yeah I like it. It looks good. Was it ever decided if any of your art would be used as textures on a Quake map?

                      • Oh well thank you oh mighty fuzzzzzzznutter for being the first (of probably many many more) to give me my oh so needed attention.

                        Glad you like it.
But thats why I post it eh. To hear that kinds of things and all those herds of people giving me all the attention and then telling me how good it looks and how great I am and worship me crazy.
Plus it might help me to decide on things wether I shouild go on this kind of way, or better change things or bits for other people see the things with different eyes then I myself look at it. I can stare myself blind at some point where others see it from different point of view and/or perspective. And this all probably makes no sense at all but I am not good in explaining.
Point is, I not only do it for attention, although I of course loooooooove attention..... but oh flup it. I forgot what I wanted to say or how I wanted to say it. And what does it matter anyways.

About the desicion of being used as quake textures...
I know ORL was busy with it once but when I totally reacted wrongly for I not realized it took so many changes and hard work to get it fit for on a quakewall, he aparantly stopped with it.

                        • yes, make a buurvrouw quake map. then we can give her attention allllll day.....

                          • To have an ORL/Peg DM map with Buur's art placed tastefully around it would be interesting.

However, considering Buur's love for all things technical perhaps another alternative avenue to explore would be for Buur to use a popular map as the setting/starting point for another drawing. It might be interesting to see Ultrav or Skull or something similar once it's been "Buurvrouw'd" There are lots of different themes in maps so Buur would have a veriety of material to choose from (egyptian, industrial, sewer, etc.)

                            Just a thought. Kind regards

                            Monty

                                Well....... yeh.
But I said it was ok to use few of my works to cheer up some maps. Just as long as I not have to be any part of whatever kind of techy thingies needed for that.
