Here is what I've been doing today. Worked mostly at the bottom. Lots on the weeds, going everywhere. Also a lost and leaking bottle in there. And some other thingies.
Bit hard to see maybe.
Not sure if this is getting boring to see, but a lot of pencil sketches have been through a lot of changes before they end up in ink, also I'm working in a very unlogical way with putting some bits in ink already and then having to figure out how to fit it the things I roughly sketched in pencil there.
Still, eventhough I have been working a lot on it, it might be hard to see for just the observer and maybe it will look as 'oh more of the same' then.
Anyways, here is my progress.
Thank you ORL
I have to say, it is a hell of a job to do it all in those aquarelpencils.
Mainly because of the transparancy of the colours.
Most bits already had at least 5 layers of (different) colours but now that I started to colour the background some bits just need MORE!
Pure out of lazyness I was very very very much tempted to do the background in waterpaints, but I was afraid the pencil bits might run out then. And maybe it would have looked not so nice if it turned into an all closed colour. So I just carry on torturing my patience and do it all in pencil.
There is so much detail in that image, its astounding. I'm not quite sure what its supposed to be exactly, but that's what makes it really unique. I see a tree with berries spouting a dragon head with a claw like tounge. I see rats scurrying about. I see a spilled bottle. I could go on.
