    No sweat, Ward knows his stuff. That guy taught me everything I know about blender. He has a habit of making tutorials that start from the epic beginning and go clean out to the end. His blender man tutorial (like 20 parts lol) is a complete plane modeling, rigging, texturing and animation tutorial, from starting blender to the absolute end. He knows a lot of tricks too. That link at the end of my post (a few posts up) is like gold if you want to do anything character related with blender. I downloaded his entire channel (with Keep It) and use his videos as references/refreshers all the time.

    I've actually gone through ward7299's 20part character module and successfully created a rigged model 95% similar to his, I didn't worry about the eye's being able to move. His videos are very EPIC! and if you don't pause the video every 5-10 seconds he leaves you in the dust lol.

    I don't doubt that the possibilities are endless with what I'm doing, It's all very overwhelming at all times just thinking about how to do something.

    However I don't see it as "I should do everything as good as I can." but instead "I should do one thing to perfection." or else I feel this project's essence will fail.

    I'm interested in any concepts you have regarding a POSSIBLE game even though I do not plan on remaking Quake 1 (I feel like I need a red Ferrari right now.) I'd be glad to let the community give influence on Qung Fu's direction.

    There's no chance in Hell at this point of me making a QC mod with anything here as I'm about as fluent in QC as a Halibut is fluent in Mandarin Chinese (Ni Hao Ki-Lan!).

      Qung FU is like the best title for a mod Ive heard in years,I quite agree it should be more.

        It would be wild if you could find a way to copy rig like the studios do on the cheap with a webcam and homemade sensorsuit.

        Check this out some kids are using a kinect to do it
        Dude they got a 30 day demo and you can use 2 webcams without a motion capture suit,no fuggin waaaayyy.

          I'm about as fluent in QC as a Halibut is fluent in Mandarin Chinese (Ni Hao Ki-Lan!).
          You are a few field/variable types (like 5 or so) and learning how to write a function, away from writing your first mod. The entire QC manual (including the ToC, introduction and glossary) is 70 pages

          You wont have to mod any QC anyway, because Qung Fu will probably end up attracting people that are already proficient in it. As well as others.

          Could you imagine this as 2 player online? "You got a problem with me?! Let's go settle this shit in Qung Fu!"...LOL!

          You could have it to where people join the Quake equivalent of a gang. Host 16 man fights.

              Found it, Motion capture for blender.
              You do not even need to bother filming capture sequences.
              You can use these already done and build an animation library for your short films.

                Completely remade the Quake Ranger model(still uses the textures obv.) the rigging is now almost flawless and can do 100% of the Quake 1 Ranger's animation and more, including back flipping...Obliviously.

                I wanted to add more to the animation but it's just an update showing off new animations of Qung Fu(whatever the heck that is!). Enjoy!

                      I use blender 2.62, I've used blender since 2.49b(a few years).

                      Anyone interested in writing Qung Fu story boards?

                      Also I might be looking for voice acting, maybe.

                        Well all the scripts I have posted were for 2.4 series and if you got them to work in 2.6 you can consider yourself lucky! If you have to do the shape keys animations by hand here is a link to something that may be of use maybe not.

                            Well, he must have figured it all out cause he posted a .mdl with a working running animation. I can't get it to show up in the game yet, but I haven't eliminated the possibility that that is my fault yet.
