  • Legend of Grimrock

You should take a look at this upcoming dungeon crawler game, it really brings back the 90s RPG.

To me it looks like Black Crypt mixed with Amnesia. In a good way. I miss the dungeon crawl games and I think they should be brought back. They should start making RPGs the way they use to in the 90s like these guys are doing. Oh yeah, everything that gets touched by Notch seems to suddenly get famous.

sounds like a bunch of hyped up "nothing" , just in my opinion.

You guys are too young to remember when games were played like this and looked 10x worse. That looks awesome to me. Imagine if someone took Super Mario World and made all the sprites as 3d models with bump mapping and realtime lighting, but still kep the game as a side scroller. Thats kinda what this game has done. The key sound was ripped from Quake btw. Is this game made with DarkPlaces?? If so, they did a good job.

                    Young? Pffffft

In all honesty , the game reminds me of Stonekeep , which was fairly decent RPG

Yep, I was 5 or 6 when Dungeon Master was released. Then again,in my own defense, it was released on these platforms

                        Amiga, Apple IIGS,[2] Atari ST, MS-DOS (x86), SNES, TurboGrafx-CD, Sharp X68000, PC-9801, FM Towns
                        I didn't own a PC (MS-DOS) until the early 90's, I owned a NES/SNES before I owned a PC too,so HEH

It wasn't made with DarkPlaces, look at their site it's their own engine. And yeah, I noticed the Quake sounds too.

can't wait to grab this when it is done, it's been ages since I played an EOB-like game... I still remember my disappointment when EOB3 came out and run crap on my 386sx LOL
In time, Fire will fade ... and only Dark will remain
