  • Quake II 64 TC?

I saw somebody on this site, a while back, made a mod converting the Nintendo 64 version of Quake I to PC.....
That drove me mad. Quake 2 on the Nintendo 64 is a TOTALLY new/different game! Just like Doom on the Nintendo 64! But while Doom 64 has been ported TWICE to PC, Quake 2 hasn't....
I'm not ragging on the guy who ported Quake I, you understand. Its totally awesome and a kickass job....
But dang... SO close, and yet so far. I really wanna play Quake II for the 64 on my PC one day. I'm no modder, but Ide help such a project in any way I could. Sending a copy of the game, sending a Nintendo 64....
Whatever else you could teach me to do. Heh.

Has anybody ever tried this? THOUGHT of trying it?
It wouldn't be as major as the Doom one, I don't think. No new weapons or textures or sounds, just levels. There may even be some somewhat easy way to port them somehow....
    Dunno. Any thoughts?

He wants Quake 2 (the Nintendo 64 version) ported from 64 to PC. I don't see this being a problem if the maps use the same format, just rip the damn maps out / progress from there.

n64, i cant even remember when i sold my 64.. used to love my 64, played james bond 007, wave runner, quake, several games and too many to name, one of the best consoles for its time for sure. bought it brand new and enjoyed it for years until i sold it to a guy 6-7 years ago for 100$

That might work. I agree, this isnt the place to talk about ROM hacking, but thats really not why Im here. Im here trying to stir up interest and support for a TC. Heh. Doom has people porting console versions that have literally no differences other than a couple swapped textures and worse graphics. Theres a mod to port the 32X version to PC for cryin out loud. I just think the Quake series deserves the same level of dedication...

Speaking of, didnt the Saturn version of Quake 1 have some new levels?

                      Hmm....
I have no doubt that something in that "paragraph" made sense to somebody, somewhere, but Im not a 13 year old l33t speaking imbecile, so that leaves me out. I did get the part about playing the game on PC, which is my entire point. I want to play the exclusive nintendo levels on the pc version. I guess that was too complex an idea for you to comprehend.

Mindz, that would mean that he had to do something by himself other then saying "give me, now".

Yes, yes I have mindz. Thank you for asking SOMEWHAT politely, and thank you for the new link. At no time did I demand somebody do this for me. I brought it up and asked if anybody wanted to help. Somehow that made me whiny and earned me verbal abuse from unhelpful idiots? Sorry to wreck your whole day by asking a simple question or two.
