I saw somebody on this site, a while back, made a mod converting the Nintendo 64 version of Quake I to PC.....
That drove me mad. Quake 2 on the Nintendo 64 is a TOTALLY new/different game! Just like Doom on the Nintendo 64! But while Doom 64 has been ported TWICE to PC, Quake 2 hasn't....
I'm not ragging on the guy who ported Quake I, you understand. Its totally awesome and a kickass job....
But dang... SO close, and yet so far. I really wanna play Quake II for the 64 on my PC one day. I'm no modder, but Ide help such a project in any way I could. Sending a copy of the game, sending a Nintendo 64....
Whatever else you could teach me to do. Heh.
Has anybody ever tried this? THOUGHT of trying it?
It wouldn't be as major as the Doom one, I don't think. No new weapons or textures or sounds, just levels. There may even be some somewhat easy way to port them somehow....
Dunno. Any thoughts?
