    Thanks WL.
    At the moment I am waiting to confirm the details of dates, times, round, etc with Pol and Peg so they are on hand to make sure things go smoothly, but it's likely to be on a Friday or Saturday night starting at about 9pm BST (GMT+1) so that's probably around late afternoon/early evening in good old sunny Florida
    As a test we will use the random port (26010) on the New York Server (newyork.servequake.com) and I plan to get that swapped over to plain RuneQuake tonight/tomorrow, after which you guys can hopefully make sure you can connect to it and things like the teleporters and alt weapons work as they should. Once we're happy, that will become port 26000 (the main FFA tourney port) for the night of the tourney. So hopefully it will be fairly seamless to you guys.

    Kind regards

    Monty

      So no one shows up an hour late like I did, can we get this fat elephant out of the room? HEH...4:20AM CST = add 5 hours and you got GMT time. I think thats how this works.

      IDK,I just know GMT failed me last time.

      Convert: Central Time to GMT

      I looked at this page,completely abandoned ship. I'll let someone who's familiar with GMT break it into some lamen terms haha. GG Europeans !

        BST is a slight change in time (GMT + 1 hour) for the summer period in Britain. Personally I don't see the point of it but hey what ya gonna do?

        If I'm reading it correctly, if we started at 10pm BST, that would be something along the following lines...

        California = 2pm
        Colorado = 3pm
        Texas = 4pm
        florida = 5pm
        Novascotia = 6pm

        Holland (peg) = 11pm
        Belgium (Pol) = 11pm

        I'll post something clarifying the actual times, dates, etc shortly.

          No offense, but aren't most of the players who have signed up American (really, I don't know... don't pay attention to where everyone's from ha)? 9pm BST is 4pm EST, 3pm CST in the States. If you're going to do this on a Friday that may not work for people who have jobs... aka me I don't get home till 4:30pm CST during the work week.

          Oh and here's a good converter BST to EST Converter - Convert British Time to Eastern Time - World Time Buddy

            No offense taken sir
            Friday, Saturday, personally I'm happy either way. The suggestion of a Friday was in response to a suggestion to me, and the time was partly to ensure their was some admin support around if needed
            You can't please everyone but it's a fair comment concerning work commitments. With that in mind perhaps a Saturday would be more acceptable to the contestants.

            Kind regards

                I think it would be plenty easier to the 90% of us americans to recieve an american standard time, using PST,MST,CST,or EST time zones.

                That chart is just a PITA imo lol...

                if it was S1aturday 4:20pm EST,then it follows as such

                4:20 EST
                3:20 CST
                2:20 MST
                1:20 PST

                The very instance you throw in GMT or BST, it pollutes the american mind
                (ha ha, joking)

                      Hola Monty, unfortunately I'm rather busy these days, so no guaranties, but I'll try to at least play in the tourney. My advice: keep it simple -> minimum admin stuff required

                          Glad to have you on board WL. I've updated the Signup sheet
                          given the quality of players, it looks like what was intended as a bit of fun for an hour between a few Quake buddies is going to turn it to some serious fragging

                            I completely understand if you can't make it Peg. Don't get me wrong, it would be great to have you there and I would really appreciate your admin skills being on hand, and if for some reason Pol also couldn't make it I might need at least a change of underwear, but your personal life has to come first.
                            On that subject please give my regards to the lovely Ingrid

                              Hi Jack
                              It would be great to have you fragging away especially as you were one of the first people to show some interest. I wouldn't worry about the competitiveness and just get in there and have a few frags. If I lose 50-1 against Slot / Dee I think I've done well West coast hpb keyboarder or not you are more than welcome sir , and at at the end of the day its only an hour playing a old game with a few Quake buddies.

                              As far as the time goes, if TimeAndDate.com are to be believed it seems that 11pm in Holland = 2pm in California (see table above).
