I'm sure if anyone can, you can
I don't recall seeing you on Shmack so it would be good to see you kick some good old RuneQuake butt

Yes, the clock is now ticking
I'm surprised just how many good players have signed up, so hopefully it will be a fun hour (and a bit). Like the other FFA tourneys we hope to demo it too and make those available for all so they can enjoy the Quake goodness

          Kind regards
          Monty.

                  Hi Spooks,

Nice to hear from you again. Yes the date remains the same, Saturday 19th July 2014, at the plan is to kick things off at 11pm (Dutch time) which according to TimeAndDate.com is as follows in a variety of US cities....

It should be quite a tourney given the standard of players who have said that they are interested, and with you in the mix it should be even better. However, I wont be held responsible for the sheer carnage and destruction that will be unleashed upon you if D'Rouen hears about this and turns up with her mighty fly flapper in full force .
If you are still interested I would be more than happy to add you to the sign up sheet, and as there are still a couple of free slots just let me know.

                  Kind regards
                  Monty

Please note that due to some recent DNS issues the server address will be newyork.quakeone.com.
The graphic/posted/advert has been updated accordingly...

Yeah I'm in! I don't expect to perform very well though. Even though I have FIOS and I'm on the east coast, my connection still seems to be totally inadequate for any sort of multiplayer gaming.

I won last years tournament pretty easily so I am not playing this year to give others the chance.

I'm pretty sure you tried loading that sentence and handing it over to me (giving me ammo to see if I would use it), so rather and point and click at you I'll just point and laugh at you.

                          Congrats on the win Polarite.

Big whoop, he won a tournament. Thresh mentality at it's finest. Thresh won Red Annihilation tournament in 1997 and immediately had a (I am king) sign over his head for year's after. Thresh also lost to several of those people who attended and not attended online numerous times. I played Thresh a few times 1 vs 1 and in team-games, he was good but not great. Quake was a little under a year old when this tournament went down. This gave people slightly enough time to gain talent. Imagine if the tournament was held today and everyone still played like it was 1997? I doubt the turn out would be anywhere near what it was. I was in the work's on going, my cousin was going to take me and my dad refused due to my age at the time. It's a game and having i am king kong written on your forehead is just child's play. Sometime's quake is almost as bad as playing on a Xbox or Playstation listening to all these kid's whine and bitch about everything. Glad quake does not have a built in talking system i would have quit from the start.

EDIT: This was meant for mindz regarding mono.
After reading Pol's comment, i recall the tournament and i was on the road during that time, but i heard it was not much of a tournament.
