Increase FPS 100-200!!

    I just made an odd discovery while trying to decide where to place the game clock display... the frag list in the bottom right corner shows the play time of every player, this almost serves as a game clock.

    Speaking of which, what is the general opinion on the location of the showfps/showtime/showdate display? It currently partially covers up the player listings in the bottom right corner...

    Locations I've considered for such things as showfps/showtime/showdate, and why I rejected them:
    top left - conflicts with notify lines (it could be displayed below notify lines, or notify lines could be pushed below it, but these realtime numbers are not the kind of thing you want to see next to notify text)
    top right - conflicts with notify lines, but less so (many lines are short)
    bottom left, above hud - can be confusing alongside the hud
    bottom right, above hud - didn't like the fact it moved depending on hud size
    bottom left, over hud - confusing, obscures significant parts of hud
    bottom right, over hud (current location) - obscures player names on player list

    Additionally for a gameclock I'd consider bottom center above hud, but obscuring view at edges of the screen is always a bad thing (this is why the hud background is transparent in DP, to give a better view).

    I'm considering moving showfps/showtime/showdate to bottom right, above hud since at least it does not hide anything then, but it looks odd there.

    So where should they go... ?

    (note: I'll probably add the gameclock in the same area if people want it)

        I see where you are coming from on that, it is true that the present IPLOG system has weaknesses. I'll private message you some other information that you may find helpful in seeing other angles/dimensions to this issue.

        I understand its importance fully, I just don't see it as adequate for the purpose of identifying players.
        It certainly does have a margin of error.

          Many engines offer 2 cvars to position things. Perhaps a gameclock_x or gameclock_y or maybe a gameblock_corner.

          If it went by the date and the FPS that would be fine.
