semi-blind Quake 100% race

Hello people I remember and people I don't. It's been a long time since I played Quake so I thought it would be fun to have a semi-forgotten-blind race with Phenom, who I think hasn't touched singleplayer since 96. The race will be streamed tonight by us on twitch.

It's just meant to be a fun little event so feel free to stop by and tell us how shit we are at Quake We'll try to start around 8:30pm PST, 10:30pm CST, etc. If Phenom wins, I have to move to America. If I win, Phenom has to make a Quake mod.

We're playing on nightmare difficulty and must complete every stage fully, meaning find all the secrets and kill every monster. Bonus stages are mandatory as well. I honestly don't remember how to find any of the bonus stages

Been well. I got to lvl 28 and learned the lightning shock spell so now I can raid with my friends to kill big ugly monsters.



How has every here been? Still grinding away to be the best at dm3?

You know it! Although a heavy transition from CA to TDM has occured, that's where I'm about to head and see if any games are going on.

I've been waiting on Romero to reply to my via twitter/email for about a month now. I am thinking he's just a busy bee and I keep falling through the cracks. If you didn't know, I approached John Romero via email about 2 months ago roughly, and I had a freequake bug up my ass. I wanted to bounce questions off of him pertaining to that subject but when I actually convinced him to visit Quakeone.com and he later agree'd to the bouncing of questions, so I decided that greed was bad,and I asked him if he minded that I divert my request to become a 'Between 2 Quads' special edition, Quake Creator & Quake Community respectively being your 2 Quads,and then invited everyone @ Quakeone.com to submit questions ,and now, we await some answers. It's a difficult fence to straddle, between being overly annnoying and spammy vs friendly reminders and resends of the questions that was submitted. I'll ramp up my efforts to get this taken care of 1week before all hallows eve. I'm naturally gonna feel like a jackass if this falls through never to see the light of day,but you can attest to that I'm used to feeling,or atleast ACTING like a jackass.

Well there was a minor slip up on my part where I used "map" instead of "status" to check the current map which caused me to manually reload a level and lose all my weapons... which then had to be compensated by the use of SOME cheats like giving me back the guns that had been lost.

The overall experience is awesome!

Canadian*Sniper is a real laid back level headed guy and I had a lot of fun with this "not-so serious" 100% Quake run.

It's been paused for me, I couldn't go on with my connection and the fact it's now 4am but I'm sure there will be more content like this!

I got distracted and didn't finish setting up Twitch, I got as far as XSplit downloaded and installed. Soon as I get it setup I'll start streaming Q1 TDM team games every time I play!
