Most of Stung's logic is irrelevant anyway. Like you said Raebo, he's just trying to prove something, and calls you an idiot if you call him out on it. I mentioned he was listing a bunch of personal stats to impress people, and he 'logically' argued it as "hence why somebody would find me attractive, like in your story. Use logic...". Of course, that had nothing to do with the point I was making, but he tends to word his arguments in such a way that he makes it seem like it is logically derived, even if it is way off topic.

I hardly find him intelligent just because he can spew a few words together that sound logical. If you guys actually read the points he makes that are hidden behind his words, you'll see that he is just bullshitting, like one does when they write an essay. That's all he does.

So if ever he insults you for being inferior, don't take it to heart. He's learned a few tricks of logic, and uses it to defend the ridiculous and deny the obvious. He's the type of guy who would argue a bad position to the death, just to make others think he is right

So far I really love how you're yet to prove where I've made a fallacy or have been doing this "bullshitting". In one post, you proclaim my motive not to be proven, but my testimony to my motive is not an argument, it is testimony, not an argument. In this last case, I chose to explain why a waitress would find me attractive. I believe the key word there is explain "Spazm." An Explanation of a widely acceptable premise (a healthy, good looking male is an attractive mate) is not to be interpreted as an argument. If you need the Elementary Logic textbook to realize this, by all means, feel free to hitup amazon.com, im sure there's a copy Hurley's Ninth Edition on there somewhere.

By the way, a persuasive essay is meant to have one conclusion or thesis with 3 major points that directly support why the conclusion/thesis is a strong, rationally persuasive argument. So yes, I suppose, I'm totally "bullshitting"-- if by bullshitting you mean proving my argument in the JR situation to be of sound value.

Clearly we are not on the same page, as some of the things you are saying don't relate to what I meant, and vice versa.

I think this is a good example of where we would come to a crossroad. You said what I just quoted as an 'explanation', and I would tend to argue that by you saying 'you couldn't care less about my assessment' ... yet taking the time to justify your level of intelligence to me, you obviously care enough.

Same thing when I questioned that you were trying to impress us all with your personal stats, even though you said there is nobody to impress here. You then offered an explanation of why somebody would find you attractive, relating back to the story itself, and I was arguing that you were trying to impress a bunch of people who play a 10 yr old game by telling us what you bench.

That was what I was referring to by bullshitting, and also what I meant by 'irrelevent' in the first place (that arguing your justification for the JR situation was pointless).

But, you felt there was a point, which was where all hell broke loose. I counter argued your conjecture about practicing logic on JR by calling it 'bullshitting a pointless argument' (pointless myself, I admit)... then we kind of lost track of eachother as we travelled seperately down our relentless roads.
