As I just said, I understood the kick, and I rarely make the CC mistake. That's not the issue here, and I wasn't going to refute that. I never once mentioned the kick in our post kick convo, so as stung would say, 'logical fallacy'

Obviously your virgin ears can't handle a little innocent sarcasm, cause that's what it was, a slight remark in direct relation to your attitude to me. Had you said, 'don't CC', or nothing at all, I wouldn't have said anything. I gave you a lil piece of innocent attitude to counter yours. Your telling me what I did was worth a ban? That's sad man. I wonder what constitutes a mute, if that was ban worthy.

On a serious note, maybe some1 should look into a feature that locks down a game once it starts, so no1 can cc? Obviously the cc problem is something that will never go away, no matter how much it is preached.

Anyway, like Baker said. theres 2 types of players in the CA realm. The Hardcore's (DM3 only) and the fun players(Just wants to play and have a fun time). I've played on both sides and there been a better experience with more mature player on the fun players side.

As I said, it's your server, do what you want. I'm just pointing out how easy it is to get banned and for you to lose your cool. I guess when you have a lot of people who are constantly jerks, even lil remarks like mine get the full ban. I can understand that, but I personally felt it was undeserving. (as you said, if Vibe is running his mouth he gets a mute, then a kick later... whereas I got banned for the smallest thing).

Sometimes to solve problems you need to compromise
Just an idea, maybe the ports should be set up like:
26000: pure public server, CC, gaying etc. allowed, sometrash talking ok
26001: for more serious games, users must know, they MUST behave here or else! DM3 mainly played map, (maybe limit to 6 or 8 players?)
26002: peeps who want different maps
I like this idea also because the huge massive 5 on 5 games get a little too wild, so this gives some ports dedicated to "fun and new" players and more serious players.
That being said, others could probobaly refine this idea, dunno, thoughts?

playing dm3 is all fun and good, but changing it up is ok sometimes.. i think the admins are pretty damn good on the server, except for vis of course, he likes to make up reasons to ban.. but its ok. i've found my ways to get around the ban and just play under names people dont know

Vis is a great admin,regaurdless of what anyone thinks. To think he would ever reach a point where he said "fuck all you ungrateful newbs" for maintaining the HDz server's and took them down is scary. 100% of the rules of CA since ClanBerries and Mtown or prior have been in place,the only difference is the "shit talk" rule. I for one can vouch for how bad it was back in the ClanBerries,Mtown,and even MAX.essentrix day's. Vibe would trash talk me,tell me how much I sucked,etc etc. It was rather deturing ,but since I enjoyed quake,I could look past all the negative commentary, that cant be said for everyone,and assholes can ruin the game for others quite easily when they foam at the mouth on Quake.

I for one wish everyone would quit being ungrateful little children. It's pretty simple,get with the program thats been established as "clan arena etiquette" since well before Rage/CAx came around , or learn the hard way and suffer its consequences in the process.

Back when CA+ was on life support (2005/early 2006) I always marvelled at how rude some of the players were at Max (not anywhere as bad as 2002/2003 at the ClanBerries server ).

Max ended up being almost perpetually empty and occasional a CA+ player would show up Shmack and talk about how gay Rune Quake was and calling the players newbies while also asking if anyone wanted to CA. What a way to ensure that no one said "yeah sure". Regardless of what you think of the RuneQuake mod -- yeah, many of the players aren't very skilled -- the fastest guarantee to erode a player pool is for the players on the server to act like trashed mouthed "***s".
