Normally I wouldn't do this. But what's happening on Rage, or in quake in general, is absolutely obsurd. Yellow-5 is making it more than obvious that he is trying to "monopolize" Quake, or what's left of it. The favoritism that goes on at Rage is rediculous. You all know what I'm talking about. We all do so much to try and keep the community positive, but Yellow-5 has become a thorn in the community. Sure he helped create Rage, but that's all. He helped. R00k and Bam did the coding. Phenom gave birth to the server etc...

Nowadays, if you're not Yellow-5's buddy, or he feels you're in direct competition with him, and it's not Rage-helpful, you can more or less count yourself out. Even recently... when I did an interview with Phenom about the Dredd server, which had NOTHING to do with Rage... and I msg'd Yellow-5 to submit the news through the quakeone.com website, here's the issue I encountered.....

Not only does he call Phenom a piece of shit, which Phenom isn't, he 100% tries to help the community, he decides he wants to edit MY post to his likings? Rediculous.

On top of other things, recently, Tical was on rage and was doing the "name Phenom; Rage is gay! Come to dredd! ;name Tical", and guess who gets banned? You guessed it- Phenom.

Also, Phenom AND Canadian Sniper have both been banned for using the weapon of their choice on the server. If the coding shows effeciencies for all weapons, then how is it a player gets banned for using a Shotgun, Supernailgun, etc? They don't. Only Phenom and Canadian Sniper have gotten banned. Why? Because Yellow-5 has personal issues outside of the server that he likes to abuse his power on rage with. We have all seen PLENTY of players do this, and never get banned. What's the deal Yellow-5? Panties in a twist?

Yellow-5 is a cool guy, outside of Rage. I've mailed the guy wine! He's mailed me xp! I mean, he's a cool guy, all around minus his Hitler type "leadership". He really has no place being in charge of the server, and he abuses his power on a daily basis.

Why is voting incorporated into the mod, if there is no voting when Yellow-5 is around? It's simply what HE wants to do with admin. Maps aren't voted when he's around, they're chosen. Players can't even have the freedom of speach on the server, it's what Yellow-5 allows.

Yellow-5 has gotten completely out of hand with the way things go at Rage. If you ask me, he should be stripped of this power and this monopoly he's trying to create.

Even with the news article, he had to be a moron.

Yellow-5 I'd say shape up or ship out, because you're pissing the community off.

And Vis, I'd re-evaluate how things are going instead of letting this "tyrant" be in charge of such a popular server.

And as for this, Phenom didn't take Yellow-5's admin from Dredd because of any of that. He told Yellow-5 upfront, that since he's not doing anything positive for the server, and just degrading it in general, etc, that he felt no need for Yellow-5 to have admin. Y5 also never even goes to dredd. By the way he words it, it sounds like he's saying Phenom's trying to "lash back" from being banned, and that wasn't the case at all. The way Yellow-5 runs things on rage, would be considered "ANTI-DREDD" to a dredd player, completely ruining what dredd stands for.

And, ANYBODY calling him a ****** should be banned. That's VERY obvious. What kind of admin says things like this? Not banning somebody for that? But banning somebody else for how they choose to use their weapons? Eh? Where is the logic? Huh Yellow-5? Where?

Wee I have chat logs too, you think you're not in any of them acting like a child? If I shoot my mouth off I'm generally wise enough not to do it on the forums. I did, unfortunately, assume you were decent enough not to try to use what I talk about with you to your own gain (poorly).

I'd rather not spend what free time I have for quake related stuff on arguing on forums about stupid shit. I've responded to some of this shit recently mostly to correct inaccurate statements. Notice also I have not participated in any dredd vs rage nonsense or posting anything criticizing dredd. Generally the people who like and play at dredd and people who dont enjoy the type of games on rage, so it's good they have a choice thats more what they want. My only objection when discussing it with baker was that rather than locating dredd in Texas to capitalize on rage's player base, it would make more sense to locate it in chicago to try to bring in more players who dont ping well to Texas.

As for phenom and sniper being banned...yes 1 of the reasons phenom is currently banned is because he has been joining and purposely not helping his team trying to ruin the game, particularly if no one is on dredd. Sniper hasn't been kicked, banned, or muted in at least 5 months, at least not by me.

As for the way I've admin'ed rage, many people have complained because I don't interfere enough, and make people play maps other than dm3, others complain if I use admin for anything. The only thing I actually do is try to keep the game organized by limiting teams to 2, enabling pldown when needed etc. In the incident you were referring to the other day, everyone on the server wanted to play custom maps. I was responsible for warping to 2 of them, q3dm6 and a2 based on requests. The rest were voted, including bomberman and dm3. Frenzy you might of noticed you were the only one screaming "OMG ADMIN ABUSE" like a woman.

To clarify what I am responsible for on rage is the general setup of the server. The people who have control over this are me, r00k, and vis. The other admins are mindz, dave (spoon), and others who dont really use it like sole, baker, bam, and asc. R00k deserves the most credit of course cause he's the one who's done the actual working coding the mod and the server app. It's my opinion I did most of the effort promoting it and getting it to catch on. Others who deserve credit for that include phenom, frenzy, mindz, and asc.

The server rage has turned into is the result of the way people wanted to play it. Rage was originally supposed to be a newbie pub server for fun pickup games. I've never been terribly fond of dm3 and still am not. Rage has been gradually changing to a more organized and competitive server, because thats what people are asking for. Others have also said "rage killed ca+...". which is somewhat true. However this resulted in crmod getting busy again also. The intent was to setup a ca server that was easier to play than chi.nailed.org etc, but people I think didn't like switching between standard mods like CAx/CRMOD/RA/CRCTF and nonstandard like CA+.

I used what we talked about for the gain of the community, not just I. You say you do what is best for the community, but you don't. You do what suits you in any given situation.

You run the server like a tyrant, and choose favorites.
Someday - you will learn how to decently admin a server.

CA isn't meant to have just 2 teams. That's why there's 4. The teams should always be left at 4. i.e. you set it to 2 teams, then later on that night, nobody else can join, or do a 2v2v2 because you neglect to change it back.

You don't have logs of me acting like a child, you have logs of you perceiving that I acted like a child because I don't accomadate to your way of thinking.

Weee I have tons more logs that show that you can't admin very well, no need to post them though. Your opinions/attitude of players and why you do things included.

Point is, you've turned into an overall abusive admin, and that's that.
