The way things are at Rage is not by intent but rather circumstance, I would cut Yellow more slack.

As for shit-talking inside Rage, when I see more shit-talking going on than playing,or lots of in-active players because they are too busy jawing off as opposed to helping their team,I break out the admin-mute's,and if I have to mute the same player more than 2 times,I usually begin kicking or banning.

When it comes to setmaxteams 2, I set this all the time when I show up and see 3-4 teams,I automatically set it to two teams,and no one ever complains (rarely).
I had a problem brought to my attention not to long ago with kp.disco , and it was zenkai and nunk that brought it to my attention. Disco had cc'd making teams uneven at Rage,which is a admin-remove worthy offense.I wasnt there to witness it,and it had happened like 1-2 games prior to me finding out about it,and I told Disco that it isnt cool stuff to be a dick when asked nicely to get out of a even-teams rematch...and I also explained to zenny and nunk that rematches on a pub server aren't garuntee'd. I've never seen Yellow abuse admin. I've seen players deserve being kicked or banned,hell I've kicked a player who kept connecting to Rage and then kept failing the bot scan,and I banned him.

Yellow is no different an Admin than myself, and I dont know about Yellow,but I adhere to a pre-set list so to speak,of rules that I was told I should enforce by Visine and Yellow5,which is whats been brought up here for the most part minus the extra drama tacked onto its side like a sticky note on the monitor.... So does this make me a bad admin?I've seen several people (not in this post) mention that I'm a good admin and if Rage was to trade off Yellow as end of line when it comes to Admin,they would want me to continue being an Admin. Comparing what I use admin for regularly and what Yellow uses it for regularly, there is no difference.The other night I was force-warping random ID1 maps besides DM3,and no one complained about that. Basically all of the complaints are biased, on specific problems with Yellow 5 and less accurate to the extent of him being a bad admin.

Main reason I rarely, and I mean rarely, go to rage is because I don't have the time to deal with yeller's bullshit. That's the only reason and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way.

About a year or less ago we were all having a fun game at rage playing q1edge. Then whenever I'd cream yeller in a 1v1 standoff, he'd mute me. And no, I was not spamming at all. At max I'd say 2 things each round (location and something else if needed). This happened a few times on different days. Another time is when yeller temp bans me during a tournament that I wanted to watch. No logic put into any of those decisions whatsoever. That pretty much settled that I could have more fun at any of the other 100 quake servers.

Mindz you don't use admin as much as Yellow-5, period. I was talking to Yellow-5 earlier this week, and he said something like "I'm too busy admin'ing rage", and I replied "Rage doesn't need admin'ing", and he replied with "Running rage."

Rage doesn't need the admin'ing that it gets. Setting it to 2 teams is rediculous. It's a pub server, not a private server. 01-05, go set those to 2 teams. The pub server is for pickups. If there's 2 blue and 2 yellow, I see no reason another player can't CC. Nobody wants to sit and wait at a pub server. IF they do have the courtesy to wait, then that's cool. But it shouldn't warrant a admin-remove or an admin-kick because of that.

Rage is a good server Ill give it that. it has a fun version of CAX.
(Since CAX came into view and offered more maps then just DM3 to be played I assume CAX was meant for more then 1 map. Just like how SG,SSG,NG,SSG,GL,RL,LG all have effs in CAX because the creator of CAX planned for people to use them!). How do you see justice in me being banned when I wasn't even on the server? The last few things I remember before hand was me playing at Rage, on DM3, using weapons like NG, SG not the main weapons (not to mention people bitch when I use LG to much because of my ping or else they just tell me how much I suck with my ping etc) I was talking shit I know that, you and yellow basically jumped on me about talking shit and said "Say another word and you are kicked." so I did say something but what I said was this "<---silence" or something along those lines to atleast show you I understood what you are saying. Then I continued playing and out of nowhere I was banned? How does this equal justice?

Thats before I even got banned for not being on the server. That was when I was heavily promoting Dredd but what do you expect? I don't see Yellow move from Rage EVER because hes promoting Rage, why can CRMOD'ers and everyone else use SG when they want, talkshit when they want, ask if people want to play at another server when they want, even tell yellow to be quiet when they want and nothing happens? yet when I give the slightest hint of any of these Yellows on my case and you are usually right there to back him up. Wheres all this proof that shows Me deserving to get banned form Rage except the proof that yellow already admitted to hating my guts and you too? This doesn't make sense Mindz I thought you knew how to run a fun server, after all you were an admin at Bomber weren't you? Do you remember how bomber got ran? None of of this dictator shit because nobody was talkn shit. I know yellow likes to say "Bomber died an empty server" which IS TRUE but only because I let bomber.ironrocket.com stay up for another month so people who tried to connect to bomber.ironrocket.com wouldn't get met with a "No server found" message while the transition from bomber.ironrocket.com to bomber.quakeone.com took place.

I was also promised that I would have admin on Rage which I did but why was admin taken away from me? Because yellow thought I might be a threat and possibly be a cooler admin then him? That people might think of me as the father of Bomber? well I was simply put. People just can't hold up to their end of the bargin when they get greedy, mouthy and power hungry. I would like to hear one time when I was acting as a bad admin. some people might not agree with how Dredd is setup but thats not me. Thats what the community wanted. I'm work'n for the community not making the community work for me.

This isn't a popularity contest I'm not worried who thinks I'm cool in Quake I'm not worried about what others think about how I act. I am going to always be me. Dredd was put up for the goodness of people having fun, not so I could be an admin. I was admin of IHOC, big deal I admin'd up there 1 time to test my code. why does Rage need to be babysitted 24/7? Are you saying Rage's players are immature? This is how you make it sound when you say

Thats a worse slap in the face then me saying how people who only play DM3 only play it because they are bored. Obviously you don't just play DM3 do you Mindz? So I guess that excludes you. it also excludes ALOT of Clan Arena players but the large handful that would rather not play then play on another map, thats where that comment was directed. so if you want to make it seem like I'm the badguy and that you hate me go ahead.

I'm not neutral, actually. I just have a very different point of view than anyone in this thread.

You guys are all wrapped up about Rage. You, Phenom, Yellow, Mindz, ..

To me it looks as sad as poor people arguing over a dollar.

My only disappointment is that at one time Bomber/Rage/whatever was about expanding the player base and later was to appease some dead-enders who are rude to everyone.

But I still don't care.

For those of you who actually think a healthy game has arguments over 1 server, please continue to argue.

I think about improving the game to make it easier and more interesting/accessible to new players. Easier access, better and more user-friendly engines. Better servers.

Right now, we are closer to that than ever before.

Joke or not, I find the above comment very offensive and really in a way very disrespectful to Yellow at the same time.

There are 3 people primarily responsible for this site existing-- Solecord, Yellow and myself -- and he is one of them. You may not like some stuff about Rage, but you don't have to either.

If you don't like Rage, just don't play there? Is that so hard?
