I'm not part of TU.. Please stop putting me there. My association has to do with D'Rouen and clowning around.

I'm sure this was just an honest mistake PITA, (edit : indeed Quaddy has already apologised), and I'm sure the last thing anyone from TU would want to do would be to upset you, but just to confirm for the benefit of others under that misapprehension, that although she's more than welcome to join in the social side of it, PITA is not a member of the TU Clan.

And Clans as I see it now have turned into the flip flop scenario.. Lets see. today I will be ESX.. well I'm bored with that.. Lets go TU.. or Both or.. hey.. now ESX, TU, SUV, TRX. Sorry.. not my idea of "clan"

There is no unity in today's Quake Clans as they pick them up and drop them faster then flies hit sh*t. Loyalty is obsolete and the Clan idea has turned into a joke for Quake 1. There was a time when Clans meant something to Quake1 and you held your name proud. Today.. pfffft why bother.

I think some of PITA's generalisation is true (as much as I'm sorry you feel that way PITA) but, being as I'm from 'back in the day', I've noticed that like it or not the definition of Quake clans HAS changed. The traditional form of a group of competitive players willing the clan to 'win at all costs' grrr still exists in some areas, but so to are the more 'social' form of clans where like minded players exchange views and information on Quake and other topics in a more relaxed less-regimented friendly atmosphere (very much like Pita's friendly Net Tyme site). I'm sure there is room for both in what is left of the Quake community and what suits some one may not suit the other but hey that's life.

Perhaps a lot of the heated arguements and clan bashing could be avoided if clan players and non clan players alike took on board the good advice of an earlier poster..."I always thought clans were supposed to have honor and respect for the game and those who play it"

Okay, take aim..., continue flame war....wait for it.... NOW!
