CA+ ca.clanhdz.com is on the same box as Rage.

Why were players who liked CA+ connecting to Rage to play CAx instead of connecting to ca.clanhdz.com to play CA+?

That was idiotic as hell. "I hate CAx but I'm gonna play at Rage instead of playing CA+ at ca.clanhdz.com on the same box".

Dude theres no way that server is on the same box as rage. Have you ever even played there? The whole screen stutters as you move around, its completely unplayable, that server was never even an option.

Someone asked me to 1v1 there once and we got there and we were laughing at how bad the server was.

You’re fighting oh-so-hard for a slot to be able to play ca, which apparently you never cared for not to long ago. Pretty soon if the mod isn’t changed to be more like 20 pingers and dm players want, I predict they will still be playing but will be unhappy. If it is changed, I predict they will still be unhappy.

I quit CA after Ca X but I still play occasionally. I don't see your point. Try to come up with something beside an alcoholic rant.

A lot of us watched CA be 'newbified' in front of us by yellow 5 and the people who have lead this community. All I am saying is the 99.5% of experienced players wanted it a certain way, and got it a different way because you guys wanted to make it "newbie friendly." There are no new players in quake. Make it enjoyable for the majority, not "future newbies." That is what I have maintained all along.

I can list off like 50 people that would back me on this, who are the CORE GROUP of CA players that you disenfranchised from your mod changes to make Ca "newbie friendly." It's total bullshit.

The reason I am on here raising a stink because its past time someone said something about this. I'm sure everyone appreciates what you have done and blah blah, but once you decided you were going to change the mod itself to your liking and fuck everyone else , and then chi went down so no one had a choice, the mod itself Ca is just no longer legit. No one considers it a serious means of testing one's skill 1v1 or even a fun mod to play anymore. You go to speaknow and theres 10 newbs spamming rockets and GLs. The game isn't fun anymore.

That's why I quit and spammed the servers a year ago, and I switched completely to DM. I used to harass yellow 5 about being the "loser who ruined Ca" everyday and he would mute/ban me. Then I started flooding rage because he would just mute / ban me outright all the time, for saying anything.

Like I said, if a reduced RL damage CaX exists I will gladly host a server, unless phen is willing to change the current new server to that version. I guarantee I can get the core of good players to play the version of Ca that they always liked, with the ticrate they liked , and the pldown 3 they liked before 2 people decided it should be changed.

Then if I got a steady playerbase on said server I would work on maybe getting people accustomed to the new Ca maps so there's more fun in it for everyone.

The reason I hated and quit ca was because of what some of you did to Ca, when you decided it should be Runequake part 2. I am heavily against that.

I seriously doubt theres even 10 people that would talk to you.. let along 50 that would listen. I remember the servers before. I remember hardly anyone played. Most of the people that did play, are still playing. It's been that way for a while now if you didn't notice. Thats why we are a small community of people not letting a game die.
