I like that you think you have any authority to complain of who you think is "harming quake". Which seems to be every person who spends there time and energy to code, run servers, manage this site, etc of harming quake. Do you actually take yourself seriously when you start threads about what you can do to bring in more players? Do you only remember to take your meds on certain days? If you want to "help quake", follow these simple steps:
1. walk out your front door
2. throw yourself into traffic

Moving on, notice yellow 5 did not address the issue of his extreme hypocrisy. Here we have a thread where he admits to removing frenzy's admin due to numerous complaints, but what of the numerous complaints about yellow 5, both during that time period and currently?

Oh, I guess he doesn't count. Face it, the reason that post made you so angry, little man, is because I exposed the lie of you. You're a hypocrite and an empty shell of a human being. No one likes you, no one ever liked your admin style, and frankly all you have done for quake is shit on it.

I think your only option is to finally realize that your power and control in quake doesn't make your life meaningful. You will eventually become a recluse and withdraw into yourself, realizing that your shitty IT job isn't fulfilling and your life has been a series of cascading jokes, culminating in one final humiliation when you realize you have been paying hundreds upon hundreds of dollars to feel powerful in a videogame and everyone else knows it.

Does it really matter? Who are you trying to prove this too? Are you trying to get him to admit he is wrong or was wrong? Even if he did what the hell would that be worth? All that time and effort you put into typing all those posts over all this time.

In my opinion you dont really care if he ever admits to anything or if hes kicked off as admin. If it isnt yellow 5 you are targeting, then its someone else. It is funny how you keep posting this to yellow 5:

Dude that server has been up FOREVER, and it sucks ass. I don't know how many times I have to go through this with people. I don't care if its ca+, no hdz server is ever going to get off the ground.

the server was existing yea.. I just had him to make sure it was running ca+ with your desired settings. Would you like for me to purchase a server in Chicago or New York and run ca+?

Frenzy, you're a complete tard. With the tourney...you said you ran in for the community, and weren't gonna play. I think you didn't play the first week. Then you started playing...you wallhacked, voice chatted with adrian so he could tell you opponents location, or hid for 5 minutes if you had to to win. Then you'd post the results. "Yup...I picked up another win. I'm ahead everyone!" Alll the decent players said you were a joke, and refused to play as long as you ran the tourney. So everyone stopped playing and the tournies fadded out.

You weaseled your way into getting admin from vis, then acted like a complete cocksucker with it...unless I was there then you acted cool. Everyone hated you. Everyone complained to me. Everyone. I was your pal #1 until I had to de-admin you. Then you spent a solid 2 weeks on the forums. "OMG YELLOW IS RUINING QUAKE!!" I still tried to be cool with you after that, but you're still posting garbage a year later.

So keep posting crap on the forums if that makes you feel like you're winning some power struggle from a years ago. I'm sure you have much more time to do it than I have to respond to it.

First off, you gave me admin. I never weasled it out of Visine. That's comedy. You gave me admin to rage default port. Then I asked Vis for admin to port 26000 through 26005, because, after all, VIS is the one in charge, not you. Get that right.

Second, I never once wallhacked in any tournament that I ran, ever. Get that right as well.

Third, I said I would stop playing in the tournaments because Clan Rune cried like girls when my team beat them in the 2-2. You can't dictate a players style of play, so what if I gave them the fight of their lives to try and beat me in that tournament. Clan Rune was the only people that complained. And when you're at the top, expect hate. Since I was part of the winning team in the majority of the tournaments, I could expect that.

Fourth, I never acted like a complete cocksucker with admin. I did the exact same things you did with it. Back then, at the time, there were players YOU TOLD THE ADMINS to basically kick on site. To not take any slack from them, and that's just what I did.

Fifth, the tourney's faded out because I stopped running them. No other reason. It wasn't because of me playing. If anything, RAGE FADED OUT BECAUSE OF YOU BEING ADMIN.

And like Omicron says, hold yourself to your own standards, and see where you fall.

The reason you don't see me buying a chi server to run CA+ is because I personally think its too late.

Most of the people who enjoyed CA the way I enjoy it were run off by CaX. I said earlier either on this thread or elsewhere, "start thinking of names you used to see 1 year ago". I could probably name 50+ people... No longer here, that enjoyed CA+ and disliked Ca X.

I know I usually blame someone for this, but I'm not trying to blame anyone, the fact of the matter is Ca X and NO CHOICES for people like me did it. The difference is I'm still here, a lot of people aren't.

If you recall around that time I (for the most part) quit CA and switched 100% to DM. That's pretty much all I do nowadays, if I can get a DM or CTF game I play but I don't mess around too much with CaX.

I think it's too late to try to give the CA+ community something now. Everyone from that niche of quake is gone, forced into CaX and disappointed or jaded by the direction people decided to take the game.

I think "newbie friendly" needs to be re-examined because if you're losing veterans at a higher right than you're gaining newbies by imposing stupid policies / changes, then of course your effort is a failure.

I think the effort to make CA newbie friendly with CaX brutally failed. The mod has such low participation now compared to earlier days its kind of a joke... All of the admin situations didn't help either.

This just proves, you wanna bring in newbies, but you don't wanna alienate your entire veteran playerbase.

I know you guys were trying to get runequakers to switch to CA, or newbies to get to play CA. No one came. One of the things that bothers me is that no one behind this effort to newbify / newb friendly CA acknowledges that it was a total failure.

Kind of reminiscent of the current administration and the war in Iraq.

On a side note, I'm trying to think of any new players to quake since Ca X...
Dreadful, even though he supposedly played years ago. That's about all I can think of. How many of you know somebody new that came to this game since the newb-friendly invention of Ca X?

The first thing we should do is please the veteran players. Then if we can make it so the newbs and the vets can get together in a mod we should do it.

But you don't change the only choice people have into a newb friendly abomination and expect people who don't enjoy the game anymore to keep playing.

I hope someone else here sees my logic, because to me it's crystal clear. Think about it guys. Meanwhile I think we should start considering who / how we're going to setup a public chicago 3wave server and get that idea off the ground.

Having a popular CTF server would do wonders for promote-ability of quake, and newbie retention.
