Sorry to cause so much of an uproar with this thread i started. You guys take it easy on the admins on speak, they are just like us....just minus common sense and the ability to reason. I've been reading the replies and will answer to a couple of them. Sunshine, of course you smarted off and called me 'kid' and all that. Whatever. Funny how like 2 weeks ago we both found out we live 30 min from each other and you invited me to goto the brewery in Nashville, TN with you and ur boys. Good thing I turned it down, now knowing how you are, I'd prolly broke your fucking jaw. But whatever, be an alchy SOB, i can care less. Drink up brother. And Authentic, quit trying to start shit on jake, for christ sake the man is legit. Grow up, move out of your mom's house and make your own living and you can reply to an adult thread. Nex: Its really simple, it comes down to the people who point out a problem. They BECOME the problem , because no one wants to hear that there is a problem, that there are people cheating....and they just dont have the appreciation for the game like the rest of us do. What the people who appreciate it need to do is make the server private, via invite only and watch potential players who you may want to invite for a long time before you give them the invite. Keep a list of nicknames allowed on the server, boot any uninvited, and if it gets still out of hand, shut the entire thing down, and start over. Eventually you will find the defective player who is inviting in the cheaters - get rid of that one, and you have your solid core of good players again. The days of a public server without cheaters is a dream of the past.

I never said HE CHEATS. i just said that he was defensive like he might have some illegal files... ok.. nexus.. learn to read..

Try to balance the equation with the fact that administrating a server is a lot of work.

You wouldn't imagine how administrating a server can suck the fun out of playing; it really can be a burdensome responsibility.

Made worse by the fact -- like Phenom said -- that group-think causes everyone to play at one server.

Just keep in mind that the 2 main guys who appear to administer Speaknow have about 2 years of wear and tear on them by now and also keep in mind some players who play CA require a lot of administration.

these kind of eruptions seem to occur frequently in the CA community. it seems to me that most popular CA servers have had very heavy admining, and wherever that exists, there will be huge fights like this. this is one thing that drove me away from CA very early on. does CA need more adminning than other mods? contrast it with shmack, where the admin slotzero hardly plays, hardly speaks, and treads lightly with his admin powers. it's been the longest running, extremely popular server in the q1 community.

If,by example, a cop pulls you over and writes you a ticket,you dont get in the cops face and talk shit.You shut your mouth and pay your due's. If you didnt get the ticket then keep your mouth shut to begin with,you have no reason to open it. Worry about yourself, and have fun!
