no i didn't, i was going by what you said, lg snap to a dead body jumping. maybe use more specific details next time if you're going to give a description of a clip of what you're talking about. or if that's too much, keep it simple and just give the time reference like you did and don't bother with a description if you're not going to accurately describe it.

if you were giving a generalized description, your point was his lg snapped to a dead body, to which i posed my question. which btw remains unanswered.

Also.. lunatic you said good job to me keeping my shaft skills? i didnt keep them.. in the past my shaft was never that great "except when i pinged 10 but that was 5 years ago".. when i returned i decided to change to Qrack because i realized over the years with proquake i just wasnt getting any better.. so when i switched i noticed how smooth the shaft seemed to be.. I believe i was playing with Rev alot when i first changed over and i even convinced him to switch as well because he was noticing a huge improvement quickly.. "Sorry if it wasnt you Rev but im pretty sure it was.. lol"

so, as in the dark as i am since i haven't watched any demos, i'd be some-what right that a bot typically won't shaft a dead body? i know i've shafted a few, embarassing. but that's human error, our eyes deceive us. just guessing here, but are aim-bots tuned into server-side (or whatever you call it) information? like if you wanted, you could code it to know and/or use whatever information the server has on it pertaining to player details? like health/armor/ammo?

let me uhm, rephrase. aim-bot MUST know what direction/movement a person has told it's quake player to move, which has told the server how to move it, which the aim-bot then adjusts for, right? other-wise they would have worse aim than humans. so if they can retrieve precise detail like that, can't they retrieve not-as-precise detail as dead/alive?

haha yeah i think it was. i also tried using it when jesus convinced me to try it, i just don't care for the higher ping or true-lightning. i might try again one day and actually try to improve the ping too, but i'm happy with proquake. my shaft isn't half-bad when i actually try to focus on it, but then someone votes to leave p'mode and it sux in match play. hmm, i wonder if baker would ever consider true-lightning for proquake?

Not even close. Jesus' shaft was slighty better than mine. More consistent though. Jesus' shaft doesn' even compare with Rocker's.

I was referring to the fact the body jumped when he died. When you kill someone the body "falling" animation "jumps" and it was very suspicious because being as far away as he was, he had to move his crosshair like two millimeters to perfectly follow the body animation which I don't think anyone would do in normal circumstances.

I can understand if you killed someone with RL, the body flew across the screen, and your reflexes followed it - but this was totally different.

I was giving simple descriptions based on someone viewing the demo at those times. If you're not watching the demo, they're meaningless.

The 68:34 timestamp is a dead giveaway. This is what convinced me that JR is in fact using some sort of aim assist. The rest of the time examples are just suspicions(sp?) that deserve notice.

every aimbot ive ever seen, weather it be mine or richmarks or TMRs has detection for dead bodys. As for your other question, player health/armour/ammo is kept server side not client side, but movement/speed/ticrate can be calculated inside the aimbot. Any bot that doesnt would be basically useless since without prediction the bot would shoot at the same spot continuously

ahhh, k. so back to the original question neil, would an lg snap to a dead body (firing or not) be indicative of a bot? or just the opposite?

Well in my eyes, Think of it like if your playing quake and your bot snaps to dead bodys, thats not a very useful bot is it? and it would be EXTREMELY easy to detect that bot, as any dead body on the screen would result in the bot snapping to it. I'd say that it was human error that jr kept his shaft on the body for a cell or two extra.

Not to mention that, once the player dies his colours are stripped, so if JR is using a bot like this it would not be able to lock onto none-team mates since its locked onto a dead body with the pants colour of 0. He would be snapping all over the place on team mates and none team mates.

Jesus was outshafting me last time we played.. Honestly we had some crazy battles.. 5-4's game after game.. He's the one guy I had to try to play smart against cuz I really wanted to beat him.. I think Tal, Jesus, Stung are players who can not only beat me but outshaft me.. Bam is also a player who recently beat me.. I think with 25-30 ping If I was botting Id be unbeatable, well I think.. Would only make sense... Shaft wouldn't be 25-35% with ping that low.. I'd think it would be 50+ for sure..
Neil can probably answer this for me..
