Dear all,

I am a little bit speechless, suprised and overwhelmed at the same time. I did not expect so many kind and warm words.
Thank you very much for your replies and understanding.

I surely did not create this thread for 'drama'. I thought, the reason that I stayed so long with you and got quite close with many of you, made it necessary to say some words of farewell.

But look:
Quake is an old game. It has more than 15 years. And who are we compared to this time ? The few years we spend together is just a "blink of an eye" compared to this long time...
People will come and people will go (well, except Baker ) and I will be forgotten soon.

What makes me happy is some said that they enjoyed the small things I did. They are really small compared to others. So at least it was worth the time and trouble...

Maybe some of you are right and some day Quake will win again. But surely not tomorrow or next week.
I admire Bakers and MHs words/posts and their time of freedom between the "working phases". That is surely the secret to be part of this community for so many years and keep the fire alive inside of you.

But my decision together with my reasons to leave remains.
Now, while thinking about Jeff�s words he told me once, I would like to post a picture of myself, showing the "things" I will take care about more than I did before: The girls.
This is something personal, but the time here with you also was very personal. I remember the time that we had this gallery of user-pics at quakeone. For whatever reason that gallery once vanished.
And because you know me as the crazy monkey that I am, I put a Quake symbol into each picture. Try to find them

It is time for me to leave Quake.

At least I can say good bye with a small amount of dignity left.

I would like to thank all the kind people in this forum who accompanied me along the way. It was always inspiring and fun at the same time.

And especially I want to Thank Spike.
A person who leaves no open question unanswered and who has in my opinion an unbelievable knowledge and is never tired to help the ones in need. Without people like Spike, our Quake would not be the way it is today.

Never forget: It is the engine devs, who make it all possible !
Without engine coders, we would have nothing. Think about it and you will understand.

Always be true to yourself.

I've disappeared many a times. But I know who my friends are so I come back.

I'm have a gut feeling I am about to disappear again --- it might even be now --- and I just want to take the time to say that you, MH, are one of my friends. Seven is as well. Ironically, my bond with Mindzy which pre-dates QuakeOne.com was during a less-happy chapter of my life and Mindzy helped take the edge off those bad days (and is my permanent friend). /Worries that Solecord, Spike, Spirit, Phenom or Taniwanha or someone else might feel bad if I don't do enough name drops ...

I think I'm saying ... I'm disappearing for a bit as my signature hints about the spring. I have a shot to change the world just a bit, and now is the time to load up the silos and fire every rocket I have in the nuclear arsenal.

But I will come back home eventually. I know where home is.
