Teach the newbie |
You
see it everywhere. Newbie joins, newbie spams or runs away from your
healing axe, newbie takes the flag to the wrong capture point, newbie
shoots you instead of the enemy.
Every server you go to. And you KNOW its a newbie not some asshole that hates you. I mean its obvious. He runs into corners, gets lost in his own base and he asks a lot of questions. Yet, the responses are the same everywhere, abuse him. So this newbie doesn't learn, instead, he gets angry and frustrated, so he makes things worse by finding cheats, or shooting you even more, this time, on purpose. Tell me I'm wrong? I'm sure you're not going to, I'm even sure you're going to give me some VERY GOOD reasons as to why you abused him "he shot me", "he's running away from my axe" in fact lots of reasons that MIGHT of been avoided if you had just told him. Ok, so if he doesn't know where to take the flag, he shouldn't of picked it up. Instead, he should've read the readme that came with the map, or even gone to spectator mode and watched where someone else capped it, maybe he even should've gone and had a look at his own base first, or played it single player. But as you know it doesn't happen, god how much thanks you receive when you say "Follow me, I'll show you". You show him where to cap the flag, and WOW, he becomes a real asset for your team. Capping the flag faster giving you your chance to defend your base or making it easier for you to get to enemy base. Anyway, I think my point is fairly clear, but with anything, before you abuse, try and teach. If you are an engie or medic trying to heal a newbie with an axe, and he shoots you or runs away, tell him why you are axing him, don't you remember the first time your teammate came at you with an axe? I don't want TF to die yet. I LOVE the game. But many players are leaving the game for other games such as TFC and Tribes, etc. So in order to keep the game fun and challenging, teach the newbies, don't abuse them, and the game will live longer.
