Before I start, let me say, that I do not wish to offend anyone by this article or do anything that will make people hate me.
Now down to the point.
Today when I read the article by it felt like I was reading an article by someone who was whining because he had been utterly defeated by Tutleling or chasing. Now although I know that’s not the case, I do feel that what he said was wrong.
Firstly let me say that the point of the game is TO HAVE FUN but ALSO TO WIN. Now if everyone just went into the game saying, (This is Hindi) “Jo hoga So Hoga”, which means “Let what will happen, happen”, I don’t think anything would happen. The point of the game is to win, otherwise what MOTIVATION do we have to play? Nobody wants to LOSE. NO WAY! Everytime I go into a game, I want to win. Everyone who is like me is being not going against the laws of sportsmanship. In COMPETITION someone has to win, and I’d like my team to do that. If not in one game, then maybe in another. If you don’t want to win then, your letting your team down.
Now about what PainKilleR said about how it feels to win:
“Does the win feel as good when you go all D and/or chase the enemy offense to their deaths as it does when you play a straight up game, pitting your O against their D, and vice versa, throughout the match, and come up with it at the end of a close, hard-fought match?”
I say it damn well does. Consider this: Didn’t the clan/team in question, work hard to GET THE LEAD! If your team is winning, there’s no need to hazard your victory by going on the offensive when you can win by just defending. This may seem unsportsmanly but that is from the LOSING TEAM’s point of view. They feel frustrated and stuff but that only means they didn’t WORK HARD ENOUGH when they had the chance or maybe they didn’t go on the offensive enough and punch a hole in the turtle defense. I think the last time I saw, Valve was making the game balanced so nothing is impossible.
This may make me seem like an evil player but I’m not. I’m just another person playing TFC and who wants TFC to live a damh long life. I agree with all the stuff the fort has said over time and I did enjoy the discussions put up there but this caught me on the wrong foot.
