Mobile Defense

The mobile defense is especially suited for small teams going up against larger or stronger ones. The procedure is simple: your squads do not try to hold on to a specific line or natural feature (a hill, or a building) but reacts to offensive actions by the enemy. The benefit is that wherever the enemy attacks he will find your whole army defending. However, it does work on the premise that you have an excellent reconnaissance and intelligence network, and able to see all enemy moves.

The disadvantages however are:
- Most importantly, it hands the initiative to the enemy, and therefore should never be the defense of choice except in emergencies.
- The enemy might work with diversionary attacks, concentrating your defensive forces in one place, will carrying out a main attack in another.
- Respawned operatives might not be able to find their squads immediately, weakening your squads and allowing the enemy to Prize shoot singular defenders.

This sort of defense is usually used by retreating troops, with no more resources left, or by heavily outnumbered troops mopping up as much attackers as possible.

Battles where this was used:
-Guderian and Rommel were masters of the mobile defense, concentrating troops at possible enemy attack points, however, they also usually incorporated line or position defending putting light troops there, mainly to serve as forward positions to forwarn any enemy activity.
