1. It therefore imperative that you learn to move as a body of men instead of bodies of men. It is imperative to practice. 2. The set up of a team on the battlefield is always a matter of discussion. However, as the offence is the most important, I would suggest the �Roman� set up as described by Polybius. First layer = your most experienced troops, they are to lead the offence and push forward. They�re expereince will make sure that you can drive your attack into the heart of the enemies defenses. Second layer = your less experienced troops, who are following in the footsteps of the first layer and push forward the attack, cleaningf up after the veterans. Third layer = your youngest troops, they have basically a defensive function. As you might already have experienced, any new recruits at the front only makes good fragging for the opponent. However, also make sure you put a veteran in the rear to push the young recruits around and organize the defence. |
