Seems Puff took off for Bolivia and never told me he was going. Hyper[2RW] sent me his pic for addition to the yearbook, since Puff is in yugoslavia I took the initiative and added it to Puff's HTML. I hated to do this, I don't have Puff's sense of humour but since the lil shit is in Poland I'll have to update his page on my own (sans humour and photo-editing)

The demos page has been updated, Animeman (From the TF clan formerly known as r3m) sent me some outstanding Hwguy D demos. The map was shoop and the clans r3m played against were DJedi and Ice, these demos are really enjoyable to watch, Animeman never stops firing his cannon unless he's off scraping up paks for more ammo, theres some hilarious moments with scouts and soldiers never touching the ground.

The TF Top5 has been updated for the 4th and final time. Special thanks to all that participated. In the 7 months the TF Top5 Page has been up, 233 people voted for a total of 1873 class votes.

Seems i've really let this place go (I've been busy) so I'll be doing some house cleaning, contact me if you find any dead links i've missed........

Puffin's TF Players Pic page is now operational (quicker than I expected) so without further ado..on to the pics

I've also done some housecleaning, members that were caught in the RVS database have been unceremoniously removed from the membership.

Whoa, over 2 months since my last update (I've been busy...really!)

47 Top5 submissions totaling 322 class votes have been added to the rankings. 31 submissions were deleted for violating the Voting rules, most notably Hogtek who tried to vote for himself in all classes...twice.

Some of you are missing the point of the Top5, we are attempting to honour the players YOU recognize as the best in their class, past and present. I can understand why people would vote for clanmates only, it's called friendship and its indicative of your loyalty to clan, but until I (or someone else) makes a page for "Most Popular TF Player!" please use your votes on those that YOU believe are the best, not the best friend.

I learned yesterday that there is a russian counterpart to the TFA, check out http://tfa.spb.ru/
You can translate some of it useing BabelFish http://babel.altavista.com/translate.dyn

Due to real life issues, Sabotage no longer has the time to update the TF Top5. He's forwarded me the votes that haven't been added? What rankings he did manage to update..there have been some mistakes, with duplicate rows and names. I'll attempt to update the rankings and fix the errors by tonite, but Sabz still hasn't sent me an up to date list of voters, which I need to verify what votes can be counted. Thank You Sabz!
If anyone feels they have the time to maintain the Top5 page, please contact me.

People are wiseing up to the voting procedure, I deleted only 14 out of 42 votes for the following reasons:
1: They voted for themselves in more than 1 category
2. They used bogus email addresses
3. They either voted once before, or (in one obvious instance) used another person's name
Its getting better but people are still wasting votes, so i'll update the submissions page to make the rules clear.

Members page has been updated, 10 new members in 2 weeks. Sabotage has taken over the Top Five updates, Thank You Sabz!. I have a bunch of new demos submitted but haven't had the time to review them, maybe I can get one of these sucker.....I mean new members to take over the Demo page.

Repoman requested a page that celebrated his particular skills, so without further ado....Here is the new Top5 TF Assholes of All TimeI I haven't linked it to the rankings pages, but if there enough interest, i'll certainly consider it....... (to make a submission, email me your write-in vote)

The Top Five have been updated with an additional 280 votes. I deleted about a third of the emailed entries because they didn't meet the criteria. I just assumed most of you could read and follow simple instructions....To be perfectly clear, when submitting your vote, include your most well known alias(es). If I see a name I don't recognize, *poink* email is deleted. You must submit a working email address, from here on in..i'll be validating ALL email addresses before adding those votes to the rankings.

The "Clan Boosters" award goes to DJedi, 20 of their members have submitted votes (with a few attempts at multiple submissions...) to the Top 5, and 119 of those votes have been for DJedi members.

November 21st, 2000

After 8 days of voting, I figured there were enough votes to post results, check out the submissions page for links to the rankings. There were some names I didn't recognize, but added them anyways. We also received some duplicate submissions and submissions for Euro TF and TFC, these votes were of course..discounted. Please. If your name is misspelt or you would prefer to use a different clan tag than is indicated, contact me via email or on IRC gamesnet #TFA

6:30 Update: When voting, please include your Actual alias AND email..if the name is bogus, or the name or email isn't included, *poink* your vote is deleted. Theres been a few attempts at vote stuffing, and the only indication I have that you haven't voted, is that your name and email aren't listed. None of the email addresses submitted will be shared, sold or given to a third party.

B4tt3ry (nee Epidemic) emailed me a suggestion that the TFA should host a Top Ten Players list, I thought it was a great idea so here is the submission page for your choices for the Top players in each class. Once we have enough suggestions, I'll tally the votes by name and post the results.

Kaos has stepped down as head of the TFA and handed the reigns over to me. I've updated the faculty page, adding 6 new members and moving some of the original members to the inactive list. We now have 44 demos available for download on our demos page.

Update, 4 new demos have been added.....I recommend you take a look at CiaB K-Roqer doing his O spying thing against .M, EHA and DoW, some of the stuff he pulls is hilarious "HMMMHMMM...ME LOOKS AT THE CEILING...". (Roqer, please let me post the r3m demo, its not as bad as you think...) Seems the issue of DJedi objecting to our use of their demos has been resolved, to DL Djedi's demos, follow the link.

Other demo news, I now have permission from Korben of -Z- to keep listing their demos, and tacit approval from Glow[DJedi]-eg- to utilize -eg-'s demos. (I'm being assaulted by their wagnerian wav as I write this.....I'm getting the strangest urge to invade russia...). We now have 34 demos avail for DL..with more on the way.

After some starts and stops, were finally listed on PFs main directory, I'll be doing some more PR stuff to get gamers interested in Quake TF. Theres been an overwhelmingly positive reaction to the new demo page, with more and more people sending in demos. On a negative note, Synk of Djedi requested I remove the demos I downloaded from digitaljedi.com, the text of the conversation can be found here . I had a relatively good opinion of Djedi at one time..but some members attitudes have soured those opinions, they remind me of those clans that everyone disliked because of they're insular, arrogant attitudes (If the txt message doesn't sell you, I recommend you read the post on the forum by another djedi member). In any case.....we now have 30 demos available for download, and we'll keep adding new ones as they come in.

The TFA hasn't been very busy lately, due to the fact noone knows about us. I sent out a release to most of the gaming sites advertisng our presence but neglected to tell launch@pf that we were in fact ready...an oversight on my part. I submitted us to the launch director on monday, no reply as of yet but i'm hoping we'll be listed on planetfortress.com's main directory by next week.

Heineken of clan MA suggested someone start up a QWTF demo page, demos provide a effective form of instruction to newbies and old school alike, and figures well into what the TFA is about. So i'll be adding a Demos page shortly, please send me URLs to tactical or strategical demos.....

Sorry for the lack of updates, I've been busy the last few weeks... but I believe were about ready for prime time. Took a month of e-mail tag with Slick (I lost all my data and he lost my emails..) to get this far.
Telefragged had offered to host us but after some research, It became apparent that PF had better dental and health coverage, so here we are. Take a look around, if anything is broken..please e-mail me and I'll fix it.

You newbies, please sign up as we have 10 guys ready and able to give you the benefits of our experience playing the first, and in our minds the best Team-Play multiplayer game in existence.

Everything is completed as far the website is concerned, we have a msg board on gamersx, links page is up to date, files page is done, the signup forms are in working order, the faculty page is (almost) complete, I still need a few more details from members, and the strategy pages are now complete. Once we have a host, I can begin publicising our presence to the TF and gaming community. I'll be re-applying to PlanetFortress to see if they will host us, I'm confident they'll see the worth of what were doing.

June 17, 2000

I've moved the website to a domain with some script support, its not where I want us to be..but it'll do fine til we move to PlanetFortress. Speaking of PlanetFortress, they like the website but have concerns about the lack of content, so i'll be working this week to complete what I can ie: Links, Files, Strats, Forum and Faculty pages should be complete by this time next week;

The signup forms now work, so if your interested in joining us, go here

Time for another update,
I'm now actively looking for a host for TFA, my @home web space won't cut it, so i'll be asking bluesnews, gibbed, and planetquake (among others) to see if anyone of them can/will host us. 2 years, or even a year ago, finding a host who would take something Quake TF related wouldn't have been a problem, but theres hundreds of new Quake type multiplayer games available and i'm not sure if our lil site would be seen as something worth hosting on the big gaming sites, we'll have to see.

If your interested in joining up in any capacity, email me at the addy to your right .

Hello and welcome to the new Team Fortress Academy web page. Some of the more observant folks may notice a resemblance to a very popular web page devoted to....you guessed it!..................Lara Croft.

The menu to the left has your basic stuff, these aren't set in stone..and we can add or delete stuff not suitable to what we want to do. We (Those that are interested) will all need to get together and come up with schedules, sign up policies, training policies, suitable files and links. Also..if this gets off the ground and we get a 100% host...I'll need access so I can get the forum and smartmail CGI working.
