  • Thanks.

The poor Quakeworld users are hanging in the balance! They can't use my pack!

    • R00k, in version 2.01 ( build 2878 ), I experience a lot of random crashes with the Frikbots. None of them give me any sort of clue why it is happening. Sometimes it crashes instantly when I load a map, other times it crashes after I add a few bots. It always give me a windows error report, and there is never anything in the log that could help. Any idea what is causing these random crashes? They never used to happen in version 1.90.

      • Is there a link to the newest build that is updated consistently for Qrack, or is each new build uploaded sporadically?

I'm just curious if the latest build fixes the issues with Qrack crashing all the time or not.

          • ya that 201 is a beta version and i inadvertently made flame models randomly become transparent, but forgot that the flame and the torchstick both fade Also LH, the latest stable_ is the 1.90, 2.01 is kinda in and out of almost finalized. I need to stop and run back through everything this year and clean up a stable build. Bug fix then proceed with new features.

                Great.

If you want me to playtest Qrack with the Frikbots and stuff, let me know.

                • r00k, I think I found a bug with your server list functionality. After I test a server that has a non default port (eg, 26001). The port gets removed from the server address. So for example, if I want to test to see if players are on the server quake.crmod.com:26001, it shows me players there. Then, when I hit escape and go back to look at the server list, the ":26001" is now gone.

                  • I think I remember this, well something about port issues with the server list.
I need to fix that and maybe add cut/paste from the clipboard into the server list input fields. My last build of Qrack a a slew of new bugs that im trying to manage time to work on.

                    • oh, and the negative team score bug is still there. When during a team game if a team has a negative score, it doesn't show up properly for the team score.

                            • ok, another question. with r_powerupglow set to 1, the flags in ctf glow their respective colors, but why does quad glow blue as well? This only happens on ctf servers, on DM servers quad glows the normal color. You know what would be cool, is if you could individually set the colors of the different glows, eg r_quadglowcolor and r_penglowcolor.

                              • in my ctf mod i added quad.effects |= EF_BLUE

most ctf maps should only have 1 Q. I understand, "i saw a blue glow, YET turned away thinking it was my FC only to have my opponent Quad rocket muh arse.", right U start blowing whistles on abmiguous colored lights and the PQ guys are gonna scream, " What colored lights?!"
