Yeah, but that's on a jailbroken iPhone. And even then you'd be hard pressed to kill an ogre or a fiend on it. I know you've had iPhone Quake for a while ( / - quake1-iphone - Quake 1 for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad - Google Project Hosting ) probably from Cydia or some such thing.
Better late than never. Sorry it took so long, but I'm glad you are happy now.
If I had a psp I would definitely test this version out Baker. My servers for the gamers:

idk, but how is the HLBSP transparency support? (textures with {)
i am not sure, but i think it wasnt in the older ProQuake 4.70.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

I could add that in a final final "Really this time I mean it" ProQuake PSP 4.72..I wouldn't count on it. Is there even such a thing as a "final" version that doesn't result in abandonware?
This community could probably come up with a zillion things that are not currently available that they would like to see. I know some things are simply not possible due to the PSPs memory limitations (especially PHAT), but I would be surprised and impressed if you have already maxed out the realistic possibilities.
How is this engine for playing mods? Is it heavily limited? I'm assuming there are no voluminous particle effects, normal mapping or real-time lights. I could be assuming wrong of course, but I know these things are processor intensive. Maybe adding FBSP support would be worthwhile to overcome the realtime lights issue with static lightmaps that look really good. IDK, I'm just throwing stuff out there.
EDIT: If I recall correctly you can't find your PSP. I'm not sure if this will help you at all but it might be worth a look JPCSP. I've successfully run a few PSP ISOs in that. I'm not sure how you would go about running a homebrew though. I think I also recall that you are a Mac user, so I'm sure it will be "fun" to get it to even work at all.
Woops, didn't notice this but there is a mac build.Last edited by MadGypsy; 08-07-2012, 11:08 PM.

I guess I can attempt running slide, but im betting its hard as shit unless config'd properly.
So far only seen the slide console, working on getting slide map active fok
had to stick slide maps in regular Id1\maps\ , but the mod played AS EXPECTED.... !
-cpu333 -game slide , it needs to be told to purposely load the slide start map where you slide to bottom/then you pick maps.
Game works excellent, I got strafes on shoulders and steer/turn on crosshair, x=jump. thats all you need to play slide.Last edited by Mindf!3ldzX; 08-07-2012, 08:47 PM.Want to get into playing Quake again? Click here for the Multiplayer-Startup kit! laissez bon temps rouler!

So now my PSP is a straight up Slide mod. I remember someone was trying to get KQP to play on their PSP, that will be my next attempt. That will be a real challenge, because waaaay back in the day,the mini gun would lag me out / hella lots of nails come out of it fast.Last edited by Mindf!3ldzX; 08-07-2012, 09:05 PM.Want to get into playing Quake again? You are getting me tempted to release that.Last edited by Baker; 08-07-2012, 09:45 PM.Quakeone.com - Being exactly one-half good and one-half evil has advantages. When a portal opens to the antimatter universe, my opposite is just me with a goatee.

I totally got this to run on JPCSP. My lil <1 gig RAM netbook that I tested it on can't handle any reasonable FPS, but it does work. My other computer with better specs is not allowed to do anything but be a development machine. So, I can't tell you if more RAM = better FPS or if Java is just sluggish no matter what.

Got a PSP E-1000 today and i am kinda dissapointed, because the device feels totally like a cheap "made in china" toy... however, i tested now some things:
Quake runs well, nothing to say, semms to be solid... most of my hlbsp custommaps are still crashing, which is dissapointing, they run in NZP fine but not in regular Quake..
I also loaded some of the nice Kurok custommaps, and they are also all crashing...
All this was just tested with the 32MB eboot, maybe a slim eboot will run better... I need to install cygwin again and compile a slimeboot...
But i think the engine has a problem with HLBSP maps...
EDIT: haaa, texturealigment bug fixed, nice... Also, when starting some maps in multiplayer some maps will load on the 32mb eboot...
Also i noticed playing with bots is still nice
This will bring back my idea to use the "basic qc" for a small multiplayer only mod with few weapons and frikbots in a ww2 setting, that should be ok for a psp..Last edited by dr_mabuse1981; 08-08-2012, 01:08 PM.

I got the original 1001 PSP PhatIt's showing its age too, dings everywhere, scratches, and it needs a good dusting between the shell and display. All things I really don't want to do,but really should lol.
JCPSP is just underdeveloped imo,or too finicky. There is a really limited amount of people who want to play PSP on their PC,compared to say people wanting to play Wii games on their PC. Dolphin is also opensource'd, and it looks like JCPSP has almost nil amount of people working on itMy version is old as shit, readme says ;
v0.6:
September 18, 2010 - Added new emulation changes and improved the FAQ.
v0.5:
March 25, 2010 - Merged all JPCSP's (v0.5) details into this README file.
It looks like it will be updated about as often as Project64 haha.Last edited by Mindf!3ldzX; 08-08-2012, 01:14 PM.Want to get into playing Quake again? Click here for the Multiplayer-Startup kit! laissez bon temps rouler!
