JCPSP is nice, but my PC cant handle it good lol...

However, i will just take some nice Quake custommaps, and add frikbots to the qcv1.06 and i will have something to play on the go...

I also got an essentials game for free with the PSP, Medal of Honor Heroes, that game has also a nice Free for All mode to play with Bots.

Hell, I can't get it to run I mean, I've tried. Followed instructions, etc. I just always seem to end up crashing it

This is one of my HLBSP maps, and it didnt work, but feel free to test it on your psp...

It has only a info_player_start so test it in SP

Its a WW2 themed map with 2 bombed buildings, but i think it doesnt run for 2 reasons:

        1: too much details or
2: HLBSP eats too much ram

just make sure your link stays active, I I keep psp stowed away and I'll dig it out after dinner and try your map. If you have a Slim, and can't run it,im sure my Phat will implode

Ok, got a other HLBSP map to run, but it crashes when i try to shoot...
Also the Palettebug is still there, when you first load a HLBSP map and then a Q1BSP map everything looks fucked up (map and models)...
One of the super annoying bugs xD

            EDIT:

Got one of my maps to work, but it is crashing when you try to shoot, but at least it loads...
I will try to scale down the textures to 64x64 and even lower... Quality will be gone but i think it will run then..
Also the colored light seems to be a problem...

Sounds like I'll need to investigate.

Looks like a "final final" 4.72 is something I need to do.

Thanks for the pic and the map link. Those will both be handy.

JCPSP is just underdeveloped imo,or too finicky. There is a really limited amount of people who want to play PSP on their PC
I really was only throwing it out there cause Baker said he can't find his PSP and it was the only thing I could think of that would allow him to test his engine, as an alternative.

No problem, i just installed cygwin yesterday again

I also tested some more HLBSP maps and i think HLBSP support is complete broken..

On some maps you just spawn outside of the map and start falling to nowhere, or you can walk around and the game will crash when you start shooting or step into "something" that will cause a crash..

I have tested a Silent Hill themed map i made, and it crashed when you walk near the light, and when you start shooting...

I dont know what i did wrong, the NZP Quakemod has big HLBSP maps and many many models and everything runs smooth even on a PSP Fat...
Or the PSP doesnt like my maps

thanks now I can probably run scrounge of Armageddon better with this.

I just realized that the psp can use shortcut folders, so now I can have a scrounge of armageddon game and the normal quake game. I used to think that in order to switch from S.O.A to regular quake, I would have to remove the "-game" in the quake.cmdline file, or install 2 proquakes (one with the normal game and one with the SOA). But I found out that I can just have the normal quake installed and then have another folder with shortcuts pointing to the original quake + SOA. I can also use the slim eboot for SOA and the normal eboot for reg. quake (since reg eboot has working online play)

also if you want the latest emulators/apps go to http://www.emucr.com, I say this because I noticed Mindf!3ldzX post about JCPSP being very old, and there are updates for JCPSP comming out almost everyday. the most recent is http://www.emucr.com/search/label/PSP?&max-results=12 (Jpcsp r2676)

Did you also see the -cpu333 ??? this had a immense improvement over the default performance of 222mhz.

Also, it seems I have my PSP emulators mixed up maybe.... EmuNewz Network - PCSP - What's the point?

I blame them for naming the FN THINGS SO GD CLOSE TO EACH OTHER...

PCSP vs JPCSP. Puhleeze,... what happened to the obvious name differences of different projects (Nemu64/Project64 , ZSNES/Snes9x , Gens/Fusion.
