In SMC (by Seven), the Shambler seems really heavy. This feeling is the result of the shaking earth when he walks runs and falls dead. I personally love this effect. Would it be possible to implement something similar also in AD??
@talisa, indeed it is a remake of E1M1 from Doom!
@Icaro, it would be cool to do a proper particle pass on the shambler, I want to wait and see what the Shambler by Skiffy is setup like first. I did look at the SMC a while ago and it certainly was very cool what Seven did with the particles.

Either QuakeOne does not like my web host or I am blocked because the image tags refuse to use Images from my website anymore, very weird.
There are co-op points in the new maps, check the start map for new portals.
The readme file has full details of all the new and fixed stuff in the patch.
I just got done with the two new levels, I'm sure I didn't find all the secrets and stuff but they were right on-point. Wonderful work!
One suggestion. A new SFX for the Widowmaker? It's a mean gun, it deserves a mean sound. Also any thoughts on making upgrades to the RL/Grenade/SNG too?
yesterday i finally had a chance to play arcane dimension for the first time. i've deliberately decided no to play ad until i finish nehahra rtlights. they are complete now so i could end my austerity.

it may sound pompous but i believe ad is (and will be) the most important release for quake in years. not because of the levels, but because of all the new features. i wanna thank to all participant, you've done an incredible job. projectile based shotgun is a great addition and the particle effects... well i thought i know how to make pretty particle effets, but you've beat me big time :-)

i have a question regarding one of the new levels in patch2 - ad_e1m1. it's not a big level, however for me almost unplayable with darkpalces engine. i really don't get it - framerate is about 55-60 (v-sync on), but the actual movemenet is laggy as hell. i didn't have problems with the other levels except for the ad_swampy. that one is unplayable in dp engine with the average fps about 10. that is understandable though because that level is huge. ad_e1m1 on the other is small, fps counter says 60 but the game is l-a--g---g---y. did anyone else encounter similar problem?

There was plans for upgrades to all weapons, unfortunately during development I ran out of time. The next focus of my time is documentation for mappers, converting the readme into a set of HTML web pages.

Not sure why, I get plenty of FPS running it in DP, but I am not turning on all the lighting/particle effects. Maybe someone who knows the DP engine better can help.
